You really think so? I think we could see a summer this year similar to 2007. Can't see Lindegaard or PIG being number 1 next season so I'd expect us to bring another goalkeeper in. A central midfield player is a must and a left-sided midfield player would be useful aswell.

Think we'll spend around £40/£50m.
I don't REALLY think so, but it's a distinct possibility. SAF still has the same reasons as last Summer for not buying players. Giggsy is staying, Scholes might stay, he still wants Anderson to come good. As to that our defense and attack are more solid than ever with Smalling and Hernandez looking like absolute bargains. I think it's obvious we need to invest in a GK, and SAF surely knows that too, but other areas, I'm not so sure.

I think our net spending will definitely be £25m or less, there's no way all our current youngsters and fringe players will be kept here. Our total spending could still be more though.

This little exchange sums up why Scholesy is such a massive spastic, who fully deserves all the abuse he gets.

It's got everything. The complete writing off of a Manchester United youngster absurdly early in their career despite having barely even watched play (Morrison was still only 15 years old a couple of weeks before this post) The refusal to expand upon and back up his opinion. The absolute certainty his wild prediction is correct and, running through it all, an unbearable smugness and arrogance. Perfectly sums up why he remains a laughing stock, despite toning down his style a lot this season.
Scholesy's classics include one of his first threads, which was insisting that we sign Ludovic Obraniak, and a thread saying he thought Dong would turn out to be world class, amongst many others. He's an idiot.

Antonio Valencia will come back into the team like he never left and start putting goals on a plate for Rooney and Berbatov, helping them both reach the goal targets SAF recently set them.

Norwood will become Scholes' current role successor.

Cleverley will be excellent.

Delfouneso will be preferred to Pato in 3-4 years.

Fabio will be converted to a midfielder.

Anderson will get his chance at LB.

Diouf, Macheda, Obertan:(, Gibson, Evans and Welbeck will be sold before September 2012.

McEachran to be better than Wilshere.

We will win the Premier League in 2011.

We will also reach the Final of the Champions League.

Anderson will never establish himself as a starter at United.

Rafael will become Brazil's first choice right-back by 2012.

Hargreaves will not get a new deal at United.

David de Gea will be brought in to replace Edwin van der Sar.

We will also sign Shinji Kagawa from Dortmund in the summer of 2011.

The Norwood, Fabio and Anderson ones are not going to happen mate. The Delfouneso ones is a bit far-fetched too. And I expect Welbeck at least still to be here in Sept 2012, and probably Evans too.

I seem to be the only person who rates Norwood. Why do you not rate him?
He can pass the ball, and hits a mean free-kick, but he's just not developing enough and he is regularly eclipsed by players younger than him.

Reminds me a little of Markus Neumayr who was occasionally hailed as the new Beckham before fading into obscurity, and even a little bit of Darron Gibson. Have higher hopes for Norwood as with all young players who show some promise at this stage but he's not really coming on and it seems like a real long shot for him at the moment.

That's a great shout - but who? Who currently is even close to that, but that also has potential to leave their current club? Aguero? Bale?
I'd put my money on it being either Pato, Ronaldo or Rooney. I'd say Messi, but I dont think he would leave. Theres also more that I cant think of right now. However, maybe my prediction was slightly too early by a year or two.

EDIT - Let me expand on my post a little more.

I think Pato has the potential to be an absolutely top notch striker. I mean a world beater on a level like Thierry Henry, Van Nistelrooy or higher. The kids barely 21 years old...its absolutely scary to think how much he can improve. Maybe another prediction I should make - maybe not a bold one in mine or many other's eyes - should be that Alexandre Pato will win the Ballon D'or within the next 4-5 years.

Regarding Ronaldo, I think he would leave Real Madrid. He's someone that likes a challenge and possible destinations would be Man City if they establish themselves on the European stage and us. I think if these rumours of Qatari owners bidding to take over the club are true, then we'll sign a big, big player as a signal of intent. Re-signing Ronaldo is not beyond all realms of possibility.

Rooney has the potential to be a world beater, we all know that, so I dont think I need to go into too much detail. If he really established himself on the World stage, then we'd command a huge fee. Real Madrid and Man City would be the most likely destinations, with Barcelona and Chelsea behind.

Wow, johnmufc, amazing

Considering his tagline and all...

EDIT: Actually he said we'd sign Shinji last Summer, not this Summer, I take it back, he's shit.

From John? No way. I don't believe it, if it was really him, every single one of those predictions would have been about Rooney in some way or another.

The only two I think are very good predictions there are the signings, everything else is as expected.

Rafael isn't first-choice, but he was considered a top talent for years now, same with Welbeck for anyone who has watched him. Winning the league is a given for us, as is ending up in the CL final - well, usually. The Anderson thing is still rubbish, and Hargreaves was obviously going to go.

Obertans #1 fan.
We will sign around 70 millions pounds worth of players this summer.

Barce won't win the CL this year.

Laurent Blanc will replace Fergie.

Mourinho will walk out of Real winning nothing

Man City will be dangerous next year, because they won't sign many players in the upcoming transfer window

Wilshere will never be one of the best midfielders in the prem

Darren Bent will score around 20 league goals for Villa next yea.r
Curse you Mourinho

Isnt he pushing for it? And its still 2012 for another 5 and a half months.
Touché...

Though, when someone says "by 2012..." do people take that as meaning "by the start of" or "by the end of"? Because in my mind, I always go for the former... which is probably wrong.
