Set to join Birmingham City on loan. Could be the making of his career, but knowing him he'll probably throw this opportunity.

Oh Birmingham... Where all the greats go to... No they don't go there. Enjoy the party scene there!

We all knew this would happen.

He would believe his own hype and potential; a sense of entitlement would creep in and before you know it he thinks he can just get away with it just based on pure talent.

Outside the walls of OT, he would not have the structure and discipline required to succeed. Its amazing how far the lad has slipped and how much crap Fergie & team had to put up with for years.

In a few years time, he will write a short book when he is in jail alluding to the good ol times at OT and how much he wished he had listened to Fergie's advice.

Don't see why being loaned out necessarily shows he's doing badly? Had he till been with United it would have been no surprise to see him loaned out this season, and he's going to a top Championship side - give him a season there and he may be ready to step up to the Premier League the season after. It's a pretty standard procedure with young players....

Well considering West Ham got him in January and he made 1 appearance for them all season shows he hasn't exactly impressed for them in training has he? For a player of his talent he should be starting in this West Ham team, or on the bench at the very least. Not being loaned out to a championship team.

it's an interesting move, especially given Gold (or Sullivan) bigging him up on twitter. i'd certainly call it typical Big Sam management.

Its so sad. If he had the attitude of Cleverley or Welbeck this would have been the season that I could have seen him become a fairly important first team player at United.

Off to Brum it is. Hope he gets his act together.

I've seen him only during one or two appearances for our first team and even on the basis I felt this guy is ready for the premier league. Sad that he couldn't even get games for West Ham. But also bizarre.

A loan would be good for him if he gets first team games. Couldn't break into West Hams first team in the Championship, so won't be playing prem for them anytime soon either.

Hopefully one of Birmingham's wiser old heads like Marlon King will take him under his wing and give him the guidance he so sorely needs.
Maybe Rav can actually teach Marlon a few things. Like how to assault a lass and avoid her pressing charges.

I've not got an ounce of sympathy for a player who's got the talent that he's got, but ruins his chance at a club like United through sheer stupidity. I won't lose an inkling of sleep if his career goes down the gutter. The lad's got enough chances with us.

You don't have to have sympathy for him, but hoping he flushes away his talent is another. He's obviously had a hard life growing up in the wrong area, and hopefully now this is a chance for him to show his obvious talent.

He's only a kid!

That's fair enough.

I feel pretty bad for him though. I hope he has success, because I don't want to see all that natural talent go to waste. Especially because he isn't playing for our rivals.

Urgh, what the feck is a player of Morrison's talent doing getting loaned out by West Ham? It's ridiculous - he could've been starting for us by now. For all the fuss about Pogba, Morrison was the more advanced talent in my opinion.

He might well play for our rivals at some point if he do capitalize on that talent of his, though.

He isnt 15-16 anymore. He's old enough to be responsible for his actions.
He clearly has the talent. If he doesnt make it, he fecked up.. Wouldnt have any sympathy for him.

Think the difference is the size of the club - being loaned out by Utd is a reflection of the quality and number of first team players. But with the supposed potential of Morrison he should have been pushing for playing time at a club the size of West Ham, not being loaned out to the Championship.

Cleverley matured from good loan seasons and so did Wellbeck. okay they didnt have the same off-field issues as ravel, but we knew kids like that. some grow up and some dont, but if the gamble pays off then Westam will have a very good player on their hands.

I'm not sure i but into this "feck ravel" stuff on this thread though. His a kid.

That needs to stop. First of all, he is not a kid. 2nd, there is something at stake her. Cant say I feel sorry if privileged people feck up their lives just because they are thick or whatever

Shame, all the talent in the world and he cant seem to settle whatever the influences are. Thought getting out of Manchester would do him some bit of good, evidentally not.

I think its sad because its not entirely his fault that he is in the position he is in right now. He was a product of one of the worst areas in all of England arife with gang violence and drug use. Alot of people might say "oh, he had a chance to play for Manchester United so he should leave that all behind" but its never that easy is it?

Its a pity that his career isn't going in the right direction but im shocked at some of the ill will people wish on him.

Absolutely. Morrisson had a chance to get away from all that shit but he's a knobhead. No one will remember him in 5 years time.

Welbeck will be scoring goals for fun for United & England.

It is a part of growing up though. You reach an age where you hit crossroads, for Ravel he was at an age where he should have had some bit of maturity about him to decide what to do. Unforunately he stuck to the way he knows best, and that is piss through life rather than grasp it by the neck and drive on.
