Hope he stays at United for life, he's so light hearted indeed

"Wow, Katie Taylor, total respect to you. Did Britain proud, congrats. And to all other British athletes too. #london2012"
Oh dear, David May. You've stirred the hornets nest now.
I was hoping they'd pan to Van Persie.Interesting hearing Fergie talking about United players on Twitter at today's presser.
"I don't understand it, what's the point of it?"
"Our rules are quite clear. The players are not allowed to talk about Manchester United"
I'm not sure he's been told not to follow all the ITK's to be fair.Interesting hearing Fergie talking about United players on Twitter at today's presser.

Guess that's him out injured then. FFS.P***ed off doesn't get close to how I feel at the moment. Sake
Yeah but we've nobody else in midfield for his position, unless we want to play Cleverley or Anderson there and abandon this whole 'defending' malarkey.Carrick's not been playing nearly well enough in pre-season to be starting in midfield.
Well that's just nonsense. What games do you think he played particularly badly in midfield?Carrick's not been playing nearly well enough in pre-season to be starting in midfield.
Again, nonsense. Cleverley, Anderson and Scholes are all central midfielders who can all do what Carrick does. They might not be as good as him at certain aspects of the role but they make up for it in others. This idea that we have to play Carrick in every single game or conceded a shit-load of goals is just retarded. All the more so when it's barely a couple of weeks back that the mighty Barcelona failed to score against a midfield which didn't feature Michael Carrick.Yeah but we've nobody else in midfield for his position, unless we want to play Cleverley or Anderson there and abandon this whole 'defending' malarkey.
The worrying thing is that he has not been playing well enough in defense to start there - but he will be doing tonight!Carrick's not been playing nearly well enough in pre-season to be starting in midfield.
Ah come on, it was a pre-season friendly. Anyway, the main issue is that we'll be using him in central defense with nobody as defensively strong as him in front of that defense. I don't think Cleverley and Anderson are even half as good at him in that role, if you think that's "nonsense", fine.Again, nonsense. We just have to cope with all eventualities. It's exactly the reason why we have a big squad.Well actually this is more to do with defense than midfield, because we're having to use a midfielder there. It's annoying how injury ridden it always is.
He's looked a bit off the pace every game he's played, either in midfield or defence. In fact, thinking about it, he's been like this every season since we signed him...apart from the season we signed him, when he got injured instead. He seems to take slightly longer than others to fully kick into gear.Well that's just nonsense. What games do you think he played particularly badly in midfield?
Didn't he only play one or two games in midfield? Very early on? All our more recent games - when you'd expect him to be less rusty - were out of position. You can't really judge him on his performances in central defence. His most recent run out in his preferred position was for England, when he was excellent. He's looked a bit off the pace every game he's played, either in midfield or defence. I'd have been expecting Cleverley and Scholes, or maybe Anderson. Obviously would rather Rio in defence than a midfielder, but it could be worse...at least we wont have an in form Carrick in defence while a defender and a winger play in midfield.
I always enjoy games, if I didn't I wouldn't bother. That's a weird thing to say.We just have to cope with all eventualities. It's exactly the reason why we have a big squad.
Change your mindset and start enjoying games.
Suits me. The defending marlarkey is quite boring when you've got Nani, Valencia, Rooney and Van Persie on the pitch, and the other team has a giant walking mop.Yeah but we've nobody else in midfield for his position, unless we want to play Cleverley or Anderson there and abandon this whole 'defending' malarkey.
Depends on whether the walking mop is playing or not I guess. I doubt RVP will start, which probably means Nani, Rooney, Shinji and Valencia, not half bad if we can get service to them, which we should be able to do if Cleverley is on the pitch, and possibly Scholes.Suits me. Pretty sure Fellaini is injured. Was last time I heard. Our makeshift defense playing against Fellaini scares me. Especially after what happened in April.
He's been reported as a likely starterPretty sure Fellaini is injured. Was last time I heard.
The thing is, Cleverley, Scholes, Kagawa and even Anderson have all looked sharp in midfield, Carrick hasn't. Even if it's not his fault Fergie usually sticks in the people who he knows are ready for the first few games. Carrick didn't look up to speed at centreback either to me. His passing was too slow and nowhere near as good as it can be.Didn't he only play one or two games in midfield? Very early on? It's a fair point that he's usually a slow starter but he's certainly not been playing so badly this pre-season that he doesn't deserve his place in the team.
Anyway, I'd have no worries at all about Anderson, Cleverley and Scholes in midfield. Even swap Kagawa for Scholes and I think we'll be fine. If we only play two CMs I'd be a little bit wary but that's how I'd feel regardless of who's available. It's a tricky fixture for the season opener.
You always seem to be negative with your posts.I always enjoy games, if I didn't I wouldn't bother. That's a weird thing to say.
