Television How I Met Your Mother

Okayish episode. Loved the 12 angry men and The Wire references.

Meh. They've totally lost the plot with Barney I reckon, it's just getting ridiculous. The bibs thing was kinda funny, but the ridiculous ending spoiled the episode for me. I quite like the Marshall and Lily bits as they're both quite likeable characters, but that's about it.

The only funny bit was when Marshall's head popped up beside Robin and her blonde friend doing the dance. I proper laughed at that. It was crap other than that.

Yeah I actually quite enjoyed the last one. It felt like a proper HIMYM episode, where they get into these situations and everything fluctuates back and forth. Marshall always gets me with his facial expressions.

The Barney/Robyn/Patrice stuff is terrible though.

My bladder is as big as your betrayal

So what you're saying is I should catch the last episode if I have time, but not go out of my way or anything?

Yup. It was a good episode though. Barney was quite good in his brief moments.

Does Robin's shout/scream really get on anyone else's nerves? When she screams 'Patrice!' I just want to throw my laptop at a wall.

Yeah, Robin annoyed me a lot. Best episode in a long while otherwise. I actually laughed a few times!

I thought Marshall and Lily's baby jokes were very annoying. Otherwise it was a decent episode with a good ending. So how many more episodes are remaining?

Pathetic show. Absolutely pathetic. I find it impossible to believe someone actually sanctions this crap.

Used to like it but now I realise how weak it is. Not up to date at all though admittedly.

That ending was brilliant.

Good episode but those are few and far between these days. Used to be a brilliant show in its first few seasons. Gone horribly down hill since then.

Robin screaming at Patrice is hopefully over now - I don't really understand how that was supposed to be funny in any way. Don't get how Marshall and Lily being pathetic is funny either, but seems like we'll have to live with that. It was fun though that they evidently didn't have any issues leaving Marvin for the entire day to go on Ted's loony trip to their own collage, but as soon as they leave him to have some private time it's full mental breakdown.

Apart from those two occurring annoyances it was quite good. Ranjit always crack me up and the writers still give him some great lines IMO.

Yep, and it wasn't just the Barney thing (which was brilliant), but Ted's bit on top of it. You get the sense he still feels something for Robin, and he's pushed her into Barney's arms. You've also got Marshall and Lily, and despite opening a new Manhattan skyscraper, he's still clearly unhappy.

Love the programme, despite it's dip in quality over the last two years.

So... I watched the double parter based on what was said in this thread... and I thought it was pretty bad overall. Barney made me chuckle maybe once or twice... but that's about it. Then again, this isn't a comedy anymore... it's a drama, and not a very good one either. It might have been ruined by the fact that I didn't see any of the episodes that led up to this... so I guessed that the engagement would be for Robin, but then maybe it was obvious because we all know they get married at the end of the series? Anyone?

Also, Robin has to be one of the worst characters on television. Just awful.

I've gotten up to "Karma" from Season 7. From reading this thread it looks like I should probably just stop here?

Nothing I've seen has since matched the brilliance of Barney's "Nothing Suits Me Like A Suit."

She went from being one of the best to worst.

Haven't watched the show since last year. It turned crappier from the usual crap by then and even Carney couldn't save it.

This, it was a special one

The only good thing about those last two episodes was the last minute or so where Barney was being cool as feck. It needs to end so I can stop watching it.

Agreed. Barney carries this single-handily.

He always did tbf, but the writing was much better in the previous seasons. It's just horribly bland now.

What are you on about that? That's whats wrong with this show, things like that aren't funny. It's no longer a good sitcom and it's never been a good drama.

This thread is quite useful in identifying the idiots on here.

Indeed.

I gave up on this show in season 3. Not funny in the least and terribly repetitive. Cobie Smulders is quite hot though.
Worst show I've had the misfortune of watching. Closely followed by the 10 minutes of Grey's Anatomy I was forced to watch which raised hitherto dormant feelings of rage and violence.
Pathetic show. Absolutely pathetic. I find it impossible to believe someone actually sanctions this crap.

Actually didn't see the Barney twist coming which is ridiculously stupid of me. Enjoyable episode nonetheless. Hopefully they end the series this year. Reaching a point where you think Ted should just get a mail order bride.
