Funny you say that, I was actually daydreaming that Suarez had had the opportunity to play against him and bite him and the ensuing treat viewers would be rewarded with...
Imagine how those Merseyside derbies would have been, Duncan Ferguson would have laid him out and unconscious and taken a red for the cause.

Players have been to prison for hit and runs and come out and played again. This is an extreme act and a ban will follow but you're overreacting with that one.
What would you consider to be a fair punishment?

My wife just showed me her Facebook & Twitter feeds, asking if I'd seen any of the photoshops etc that were on there. I replied, "yes, I've seen them before, they're just being recycled from last time." It's just struck me how ridiculous it is that those gifs etc are actually being reused for a completely different incident. That's just mental that a player could do this multiple times.

Apparently Luis Suarez has said "these things happen in the penalty box" when asked about it...

No way is he getting away with a light punishment.

The reaction from all quarters means Fifa will act decisively so as not to appear to be weak.

Would be absolutely hilarious if he got a ban from alll competitive football for a year or two. No doubt, he is a talented player and the best striker in the BPL but it would be funny to laugh at the scouse rats when his Transfer fee plummets after 60 mill and 100+ was being banded about.

I imagine his team mates are rather angry with him behind closed doors

They have done very well to qualify after losing the opening game. This has ruined it for them
Yup. All the spotlight is on Suarez and his lunacy. His punishment should include mandatory sessions with a psychiatrist.

do people think any ban will be effective in club football?

I could see just a 8-10 international ban

#BanSuarez is trending worldwide on twitter now. Suarez is really in big trouble.
Source? If it's from your own twitter log in then be careful before you say something is 'trending worldwide'. They're no longer objective trends anymore, instead they're based on who you follow and who follows you. I see many radio DJs saying that their show was trending in the UK when it wasn't. Twitter trends have been subjective to the activity of your account for several years now. I confirmed this as I have two accounts.

Don't worry everybody, One RAWK poster has a great idea :-

Wouldn't a plain gumshield/mouthguard prevent him doing this?

Rugby players have them and seem to have no problems running etc.

He needs to do something as he is not in control of his actions in pressure situations.

I think it will end up being something like this. They don't deal full bans that often, do they? I remember it happening to Portuguese players in WC 2002 (up to six months) but in that case they assaulted the referee.

The real flaw with any defence of Suarez is that in relies on you not knowing that this is the third fecking time he's done this.

I mean all this criticism of Chiellini would hold a lot more weight if we hadn't previously seen Suarez bite people when they'd done feck all to him.

Such a good solution! It would be itself a crime to deny the world such a good player. A gum shield is a much better solution.

Never sign in on the website, go to search if you want trends....randomly "Does Suarez" is trending too.

Gone to bed.
He should be banned for 15 games, or there abouts. And forced to play with a gumshield for the rest of his career.

Where's your evidence that he did bite him ? And please don't post the photoshopped image. If you could post the "reverse angle" of the footage everyone has seen (ie the video that shows Suarez and the defender from the front) then maybe people might start believing
Such delusion
