Smalling looks class IMO.

As for his purchases they have been a bit hit or miss, though I am a Sakho fan. Having said that, I don't think Rodgers had much control last season in the transfer market. This summer he apparently will have much more of a say.
Nah, he's average.

Phil Jones and Evans are our best pairing IMO. Sakho plays like a French Micah Richards. I'm surprised you guys are selling off Luis Alberto, looked like a good talent when he joined you.

Can and Lambert aren't being bought with money earned from the sale of Suarez. Coz it hasn't happened.

If it does, I'd expect the money to identify a replacement for the first team. To use the Spurs example as some kind of positive is just odd. Their season was absurd given their investment.
It will happen. Liverpool are getting their business done before the Suarez sale. A smart move as it avoids clubs knowing how much you have.

As we can never replace Suarez maybe we'll use the 120m to pay off the stadium. It's got to be seriously considered.

A Liverpool captain and scouser should never shake a Tory PM'S hand, in fact he should of spat at the floor when he put his hand out.
If he was just the Liverpool captain I would agree. He's the captain of England as well though and in that position he really can't do that.

Most of us here Manc or Scouse despise the Tories, but as the captain of Liverpool and England, he's not in the position to be spitting in his hand at Cameron. Maybe he really hates Cameron too, but knows it will look bad if he did something foolish.

I would of gained a lot of respect for him if he snubbed him though and as captain of Liverpool he couldn't of been in a better position.

Gerrard has to shake Cameron's hand. I don't know what Gerrard's politics are but it's a non party political gesture. He's just doing his job, like we do every day of our lives. No story.

Liverpool players are good at dealing with PMs.

Yep, fair play to those guys. It was a stupid bloody campaign by the Sun to start with and it's absolutely wonderful that this is going to blow up in their faces. You don't need to be a Liverpool fan to hate that shit-rag of a paper.

As to Hyppia to Brighton, it's a real coup for them and hopefully he can be the man to finally take them up. Turning into Cardiff a few years back, always knocking at the door but unable to burst through.

I respect them standing up for their principles but they aren't paid to have opinions, they're paid to undertake the chores of a vital element to democracy. What if foreign postal workers decided to refuse to deliver UKIP leaflets? What if a working class area refused to deliver Tory leaflets? I know it's only a World Cup poster thing but still the principle stands. Freedom of expression is vital in a democracy and the postal system is an important cog of that machine. It isn't discretionary. You take the good with the bad.

Yes the Sun are scum. Yes they won't be well received in an area close to Merseyside. But that decision is ultimately up to the people decide. I doubt BNP leaflets are well received in London but that's up to people to decide. Despite this I respect them for their principles, but the Royal Mail should deliver the items for the sake of the integrity of the postal system.

But The Sun is not a political leaflet (well, not officially). And citing "Freedom of Expression" over a commercial marketing gimmick is quite a leap of logic.

Lallama having his medical shortly - will cost Liverpool £25 million. He's 27 isn't he?

And they are taking the piss out of us over at RAWK for signing an 18 year old for 5 million more!

Lallana is the best offensive midfielder in the league. He'll finally propel Liverpool towards their league title. Stunning footballer.
