Germany - Holland. I think Holland is the best team this WC and Germany deserve to be there without a doubt.

Holland vs Germany with the Dutch mullering the Germans 4-0 in 90 minutes, Muller booked for diving and a Neuer error leading to a cheeky Robben goal.

Brazil vs Argentina at the Maracana. It's the biggest game of football that could ever have existed. That's the dream final

Brazil vs Argentina would certainly be the dream final, but I think it'll be Germany vs the Netherlands. I see Van Gaal going into pre-season with a World Cup win added to his already impressive resume.

There are two legendary final possibilities.

Germany - Holland is the European el Classico with the Dutch needing to set the record straight for 74.

Brasil - Argentina is the Latin American el Classico.

No matter which final will happen, they will be all epic.

Germany deserve to be there for what reasons? They struggled past Algeria and were lucky to do so, weren't overly great against France, Ghana or the USA. Their only impressive game was against a 10 man Portugal.

well, you could probably say the same about the dutch team as well. In terms of "playing great football" and therefore deserving to play the final, none of the remaining teams would deserve it.
I don't disagree, I just don't see how someone can say Germany 'deserve to be there without a doubt'

If you only deserve it because you play good football then I guess the teams that have been knocked out deserve it more than some of the semi finalists.
Which of course is quite a silly assertion.

On top of that the obsession with good football = possession / tiki taka game is very annoying as I think good football is purely subjective.

I, for one, have been enjoying the Dutch counter attacking football much much more than let's say Spain's tiki taka borefest. The Dutch new approach has lead them to the semi final as well, whilst Spain is watching the remainder of the WC on the Costa del Sol.

Brazil v Argentina. Messi scoring a hattrick in a 4-2 extra time win.

Welcome to Manchester reception committee
I think losing Neymar + Silva's suspension is too much for Brazil. Even if they somehow wobble their way through the semi I can't see them putting up much of a show in the Final, so I don't want to see them there. Neymar was giving them something extra.

Assuming Aguero and Di Maria are out, so much of what looked liked great strength in attack has now come down to one name: Messi. I always expected to see Argentina in the final and the lack of strong performances from what should have been the other favourites, means that the road to the trophy's still open. Tough now though, with those injuries.

Gemany are playing just that bit worse than they should be - but then so were Spain in the 2012 Euros and they suddenly came to life when it counted. Holland are playing just that bit better than they should be - but will need luck to convert that into wins, last night was dramatic rather than impressive.

Germany Vs Argentina or Holland then and a preference for Germany Vs Holland because I want to see what happens next with LVG.

It's got to be Argentina vs Brazil. In the Maracana, World Cup Final. Struggling to think of something on the international stage that could be bigger. Spain vs Portugal at the Bernabou in a World Cup Final? England vs Germany at Wembley?

It will be so unbelievably charged. Really hope that's the game, I'm going to be in Lisbon on Sunday too, cannot bloody wait to watch it. Certainly the best World Cup in my living memory (23 years)

Brazil vs Argentina. The rivalry between the two countries, they're neighbours. Throw in the extreme fear brazilians would have that we could witness another "Maracanazo".

I don't want the Dutch to make it. If they do, I worry Brazil or Germany would beat them resoundingly and the final would be an anti climax.

Brazil v Argentina for me.

It would be great to see Holland win though.

Argentina are the only side with no Chelsea connection so they can such a bag of dicks.

Netherlands - Germany is a bigger rivalry. I would love to see that final.

I hope that it'll either be a Holland - Germany or Brazil - Argentina. You can't get bigger rivalries that these two, and while Brazil - Argentina on Maracana will probably be the biggest football game ever, I hope for the other final cause I am supporting Holland.

Germany to beat Holland in the final would be perfect.
1970 Gerd Müller, club FC Bayern, won the Golden Boot in his first World Cup, Germany won the match against Uruguay to get third
1974 Gerd Müller scored the winning goal in the final against the Netherlands

40 years later

2010 Thomas Müller, club FC Bayern, won the Golden Boot in his first World Cup, Germany won the match against Uruguay to get third
2014 ...

If this happens - I told you ;)

If it's a Brazil - Argentina final, there will be deaths, of that I am certain.

Brazil - Argentina is the biggest. If Messi wins it for Argentina, they're gonna make a movie starring Tom Cruise as Messi.

How the hell is ARG-BRA the dream final for you guys? These are not the best teams in the cup. Netherlands will deal with Argentina...

The dream final is the final between the best teams. Netherlands is the best team and Germany tied with second best with Brazil. That's your dream final, not argentina for god's sake.

You mean the team that had to go to penalty kicks with Costa RIca, and had to cheat Mexico?? Yeah, they are the best.

I wouldn't say they are the best, it's probably Germany for me, but this tickles me.

Mexico have a fantastic defence, and drew with Big Bollocks Brazil. Robben might have 'cheated' for the penalty, but he had 2 strong claims that were not given earlier in the game.

As for Costa Rica, the Dutch completely dominated the game; their finishing, the keeper and the crossbar kept them at bay, but they still went through on pens (Shooting second as well!).

Have Brazil or Argentina showed anything better? Not in my book.

They're all dream matchups, but it's time we see Messi in a World Cup final.

Brazil tied for second are you joking me hoofball brazil tied for second, the Argentinians have showed a hell of a lot more than Brazil, they have actually played some football when gago was not in the side.
