While it's possible that he was falsely accused (innocent until proven guilty), the fact that his name pops up in these situations in the first place is a bad sign. Sir Alex knew what he was doing when he let him go. Definitely dodged a bullet.

As I say in all these cases nothing has been proven yet so it would be nice if people could wait before calling him a prick off the back of this, although with there being plenty of other reasons to do so before hand, I don't expect that to stop most people.

This is like Good Will Hunting, except he'll never reach his potential as he has no Robin Williams.

Such a depressing waste of talent. If his career had stayed on track he would be in America with us right now as one of our star players. He's a bellend and it's really sad.

Why?

As I said, he's had every opportunity and has so much talent & he's wasted it. The only people it's depressing for are those who have some talent but never had his opportunities. He's a waste of time & space.
It's pretty self-evident, isn't it?

You're saying it yourself '[he] has so much talent & he's wasted it'. An outstanding talent, pissed away. To me that's depressing, even more so because it seems a generally positive trait -- being loyal to your friends and true to your roots -- has contributed to his downward spiral.

I understand your anger, but calling him 'a waste of space' is just too harsh. He gave us a lot of joy. I sincerely hope he can turn his life around.

Haven't cared for a while now, its so clear he's going to waste every bit of his talent, but more importantly than that, he's a colossal twat whose going to end up in prison unfortunatly.

There's only so much you can do to help a man with the IQ of a cardboard box. He's a hopeless case.

Your point is fair, but let's be honest the amount of smoke he has had around him for years, it would be more of a surprise if it wasn't a fire than if it was! So yes you could wait, but how does he continue to get himself in these positions!

Think this is all there is to it really! That much talent, money and support around him and he continues to act like a street hood! The guy is doomed for failure! Such a waste!

This is sad, I look back when i was young 18/19/20 and i did some stupid things, not as extreme as this i must add but yeah aged 32 now i look back and think i wish i could change i few things and i think that's what he's going to do when he gets to 30, he'll look back how stupid he was and wish he could go back and have a 30 year old mind in a 18 year body.

Forget Wilshere/Barkley/Sterling etc for me Ravel Morrison is the most talented young English footballer out there in terms of ability, which just makes this whole story :(

I just hope there's still a chance for him.

Why on earth would you give him, with his track record, the benefit of the doubt?

I expect the courts to not be prejudicial, but there's nothing wrong with people assuming this is down to Ravel's lack of self-control, or inclination to break the law.

I'm not asking that anyone give him the benefit of the doubt, I'm asking that people don't talk as if he has already been convicted as he hasn't.

As to how he continues to get into situations like this, that is on him and as @RedTillI'mDead points out that is the more important question at this stage. Nobody knows what exactly happened except him, the women concerned and any eye witnesses.

Why not suspend full judgement till you know more, does that cost you anything?

Your right but the thing is he's been changed and remanded in custody (no bail), it doesn't look good.

It's sad to see but what this guy needs is a career threatening event to happen. Whether that's him being put in jail, being sacked, being injured I don't know, but it seems as if the prick doesn't appreciate what he has!!!!

Maybe a poor choice of words for the second headline.

Yep.

In fairness, Common Assault could be a push. Charging standards these days however, often sees an ABH type injury, charged as a Common Assault, just to keep it from going to Crown Court.

The fact he was remanded, certainly suggests to me that the boy is considered crazy enough to interfere with witnesses.

Madness, all of it.

Nah, he'll always be able to make a living at a lower league side, a couple of grand a week is decent money in most people's books. Whereas if he wasn't such a loser, he could have been a multimillionaire at United.
Well he'll already a millionaire - Kids come out of the academy not even playing a game and will have earned a lot just signing a professional contact, i think they get £2,000 per week just doing that once they turn 18.

And just looking Morrison's on £624,000 per year at West Ham, he'll not be on the dole away.

same with me man. Late teens early twenties did some stupid shit. We all make mistakes, but to keeping making the same ones again and again is madness.

So you lot are making sweeping judgement on an incident you know nothing about?? These are the kind of comments you'd expect from newbies, not (main) members who should be able to assess situations better.

We are making judgement on a person with a track record of this sort of thing, an absolute scumbag.
No, you guys are making judgement on an incident you know nothing about while using childish insults. It makes you no different than whatever names you are calling him behind your PC TBH.
