Now she's just repeating herself...I wonder what she'll do with her life when this is all over. If it ever is.
made me laugh that"Have I got the citation incorrect?" asks the judge.
It seems so Mickey Mouse.
Yeah, he got another 3 years suspended sentence for another firearm offence. So he gets 5 years, right?
That's what I've thought all the time. Maybe buried somewhere in all the evidence that was broached.I was watching the conclusion there and the judge's retelling of the story made me wonder about something, she said that Pisotious and wife were sleeping in bed together and that he woke as he heard the sound of something like a window opening. Then he went and got his gun from near the bed.
Is she missing half the story or something? Because surely any sensible person would assume that it was his wife making noise, as she isnt right next to him in bed where they went to sleep. In which case the first thing you would do is call out to her to make sure it was her before panicking and shooting intruders. Right?
At times? She has turned the whole trial into a joke.At times, the judge sounded like a halfwit to me.
Just read that "he will be released after 10 months" on the BBC coverage. Can be considered for parole after 10 months.
Yes, They can't be happy with that. That's an absolute joke of a sentence. I feel for Reeva's family.
fecking hell, 10 months for murder.Just read that "he will be released after 10 months" on the BBC coverage.
Amazing.
A farce.
Absolutely. And even if he was a complete moron who jumped to weird and rushed conclusions, he still fired the gun 4 times at the "intruder".I was watching the conclusion there and the judge's retelling of the story made me wonder about something, she said that Pisotious and wife were sleeping in bed together and that he woke as he heard the sound of something like a window opening. I know what you're saying, and technically you're right, but on the flip side I think after watching the trial people can be fairly well justified in believing the verdict was wrong. It's not ten months for murder. He was found not guilty of murder so obviously won't get a sentence that equates to murder. Having said that, the sentence he did get is a joke.
Ofc, opinion is something that everybody is entitled to, but we have to accept it's an opinion. I hold the same opinion myself but it doesn't make it right. I didn't expect anything like a murder sentence since he didn't get sentenced for murder, but the sentence he got is astonishingly bad.I know what you're saying, and technically you're right, but on the flip side I think after watching the trial people can be fairly well justified in believing the verdict was wrong.
It's not even like we can say well the prosecution failed to convince a jury, it's one persons decision, and as far as I'm concerned it was the wrong one.
The judge had a shocker.
No, the Paralympic Committee has said the earliest he can run is 2019 which is the full 5 year sentence. What a joke of a sentence..
Does this mean if he can keep his fitness up in jail,he can make it to Paralympics in Rio in 2016??
Do they have "open" jails in SA?I'm honestly surprised he got anything at all.
Ten months for a celebrity is a long time.
