Now she's just repeating herself...I wonder what she'll do with her life when this is all over. If it ever is.

feck sake I've got a meeting in 15 minutes and I wanted to see the sentencing live - but guessing at this rate, she'll still be harping on when I finish the meeting an hour later.

I'm missing Jeremy Kyle for this....

I feel like we're all being sentenced.

"Have I got the citation incorrect?" asks the judge.

It seems so Mickey Mouse.

So, just like UK he'll serve half of that and be a free man in 2.5 years. The Steenkamp family must be gutted.

I was watching the conclusion there and the judge's retelling of the story made me wonder about something, she said that Pisotious and wife were sleeping in bed together and that he woke as he heard the sound of something like a window opening. Then he went and got his gun from near the bed.

Is she missing half the story or something? Because surely any sensible person would assume that it was his wife making noise, as she isnt right next to him in bed where they went to sleep. In which case the first thing you would do is call out to her to make sure it was her before panicking and shooting intruders. Right?

That's what I've thought all the time. Maybe buried somewhere in all the evidence that was broached.

At times, the judge sounded like a halfwit to me.

We get all these ridiculous sentences here in the UK all the time too, either the legal system is corrupt or completely broken. What a farce.

Absolutely. And even if he was a complete moron who jumped to weird and rushed conclusions, he still fired the gun 4 times at the "intruder".

Murder, pure and simple, except according to this judge.

It's not ten months for murder. He was found not guilty of murder so obviously won't get a sentence that equates to murder. Having said that, the sentence he did get is a joke.
I know what you're saying, and technically you're right, but on the flip side I think after watching the trial people can be fairly well justified in believing the verdict was wrong.

It's not even like we can say well the prosecution failed to convince a jury, it's one persons decision, and as far as I'm concerned it was the wrong one.

The judge had a shocker.

Ofc, opinion is something that everybody is entitled to, but we have to accept it's an opinion. I hold the same opinion myself but it doesn't make it right. I didn't expect anything like a murder sentence since he didn't get sentenced for murder, but the sentence he got is astonishingly bad.

No, the Paralympic Committee has said the earliest he can run is 2019 which is the full 5 year sentence.

I'm honestly surprised he got anything at all.

Ten months for a celebrity is a long time.

Why is everyone saying 10 months, I kinda missed today. From what I've read its 5 years with a parole verdict in 10 months? Is it pretty much definite he'll get out then, or just presumed cause the whole trial has been a joke?
