I remember managing in France in 14, I had Utd as fave club(obv.), and Blanc started on my best opinion list. Marched up the leagues, and dominated as per usual, never really got into wars of words with him. This made me show up on his favoured personnel list as a Friend, and every time we played, or were in the run in he was constantly banging on in the media about how great I was.

Haven't been able to get that going in any save 14 or 15 since. Of course I pretty much fecked off playing full sim mode on 15.

Hehe. Brendan Rodgers has moved to Bayern on my save. I have unsettled Götze to an extent that I can have a 6-8 mill bid accepted. Only trouble is his 250,000 wages, and that I have more than enough options.

Well Ancelotti just got a 4 year contract on mine where he finished 3rd in league, and I don't think he won any trophies either. The players are pretty much in support of him.

Finally got round to getting this today. So far I've played 14 games with United - winning 10 and drawing 4. Am I the best manager ever or is it just dead easy this year?

Depends who you play as. I'll get bored eventually in any game but starting at the top for me makes it incredibly boring unless you are happy to drop down divisions and manage a lower league team in a few seasons. Or try and win the CL with a small team. I just try and create my own challenges

Any idea what's going on with my team here. I start the game with Romero in midfield and van Persie up front, but then it seems to be automatically switching their positions. Obviously I'm changing it back, but then when it comes to making a sub or whatever, it has changed back?? Really strange and has happened in the last two games now.

Edit: Ignore that, for some reason they were set to automatically switch positions with each other.

You're aware of how injuries and game time has a huge effect on player development right? Check his injury record, I'm certain it involves a couple of long injuries.

In most of my games, he ends up as a world class player with a huge value/wages playing regularly for one of the top clubs.

No injuries? That's very weird. Something must have happened though, I doubt they have nerfed his potential ability.

Edit: Nope, just had a check on the latest 15.3.0 database and he still has a potential ability of:

Regular games (25-30 each season), no injuries. Really strange.

In other news, trying to find a decent LM. Only people my scouts rate higher than 3* is Ocampos, who would cost upwards of £72m

January transfer window comes around, I have a budget of £29m remaining, let's go to town! Find a few players to buy, get down to the first one, can only offer £9k wages. Go to budget, see that I can't add money from my budget to my wages because of 'FFP constraints'. I'm operating at a profit, projected to make a £72m annual profit. WTF?

Started a Porto save in which I can only buy players under the age of 19 for the first 3 years and after that I have to rely on the youth system. Should be quite interesting, I'm playing on Classic so I should fly through the seasons.

Edit: Great start, lost Champions' League Best Placed Playoff to Bilbao after my defender miscontrolled the ball in the 86th minute here:

Here hs is on my game two years younger and already way better in almost every aspect. Most noticeably Determination. 30 goals in 38 apps so far.

The problem here, is for some reason the CPU tend to develop players a bit more slowly(most any wonderkid will be less developed if let at CPU teams, madness), add that he's still at PSV, first team football in the Premiership/La Liga etc, will make a player grow faster too.

Either the team instruction Work Ball Into Box, player instruction Shoot Less, should help, or the hardcore answer, the PPM "Looks for the pass...", even with the PPM, they'll shoot on clear chances, though!

It's April and I'm on an unbeaten league streak since November and just lost 3 - 1 to bottom placed Crystal Palace who'd won 4 games out of 33 in the league, and Joel Ward is pulling all the strings out there apparently. OK MATE.

Tactically there isn't much option to change. Coach it out of them via PPMs but then that's perhaps too extreme. The lack of tactical flexibility is exactly why I've gone back to FM 12. Clicking a bunch of generic shouts too me is meaningless. The shouts are still there if necessary in the older games but at least you can build a system from scratch.

Neymar-Ronaldo-Messi will be leading the line for me this year, Ronaldo is 34, so this will probably be his last truly world class season, but I had to do it when I seen both him and Messi were available, Neymar I bought last year. I fancied a challenge and started off as Racing Santander, predicted 19th finish in liga adelante with basically no transfer budget. I'm useless at the tactics too, anyone got any tips? The defence is painfully slow and the attack I've got aren't up to much.

massively - much more basic, like the old days of champ manager. Still fun, but nothing like in depth as the PC version

You can always tell which the best tactics are (or at the least the ones that lots of people have found to be good) by the amount of views / replies each tactic has.
