I suppose it was really a question of whether to play Puskas-Gullit as a front two or behind the striker. With Masopust and Schweini in midfield, you may as well give them the space to attack, and Sneijder is a good foil to bring it all together.

I would have picked someone else, but then, I focus a lot more on the player attributes than whether they actually displayed them at Euros or got into the Team of the Tournament.

Arshavin, even if he is better slightly on the left. He was one of the best players in the world in that form and by far the most important player in the team that smashed Netherlands. I don't like him though, but it's a shame that he was overlooked
