He's an attacking midfielder not a striker and he's an excellent player. Doesn't really matter though since BRENT will play him as a right wing back and he'll fail terribly.
Nah man, that's where Emre Can, a CM/CDM plays. Firmino is a Mignolet replacement.

I can't believe the last 4 pages are people discussing if its euros or pounds, like the money is theirs, or they are some market experts or something

"35.5m? Too expensive, 33m would do it. Didn't want at that price"

Henderson cost 20m, if you adjust for inflation since then, Firmino at 29m seems good to me. Liverpool have now a more fluid attack, it makes coutinho and the other midfielders they have better.

No idea. It's the faux mocking of Liverpool for paying apparently over the odds when most would have been delighted to see us sign him (again, without knowing anything about him of substance) that irks me.
Well my hope for him being shite is that he was quite clearly available this summer and has done well in the Bundesliga, but none of the top clubs in England and Europe seemed to be in for him.

Liverpool isn't a top club at the moment though.

I thought these links with us were completely rediculous considering we're loaded in that area. Just hope we havent actually spent anytime in gettin this fella, when the more pressing areas need to be addressed pronto.

Mental that he was allegedly coming to us for £13m & now he looks to be goin to Pool for £29m also..

So linking us worked. We should link ourselves to all their targets.

Are they being ripped off, or are they payin top premium for a future world star though?

I'm goin with the former tbh man!
I am not so sure. I would not call him top property but the category behind. When I look on the rest of that what really is on the market - and that is rare inhis quality and non existent in a better quality - and a lot that want to buy...

He is still very young...

Very good signing for Pool. I can't see him picking them over us though which leads to the question about whether we never were interested or have moved on to better targets?

Liverpool spent some ridiculous amount of money in the last few years, especially considering the return on the pitch.

You'd know more about him than most on here BW, so i dig all that you say man. But £29m for him, seems like a shedload for a player well under the radar for most outside of the Bundesliga.

That's not to say Pool haven't found a gem, but United dont need him or that type of player & it pains me if we were hunting this lad & feckin wasting time tryin to sort out main problems in defence & central midfield.

If we were chasing him - then its a big fat face palm & a wtf from me!

It's gonna be a very good signing for Liverpool. I am surprised Firmino agreed to go there, I guess he didn't have many options for 30M.

Officially a Liverpool played subject to a medical.

Not seen much of him but I saw some of his performances against Dortmund and bayern and was very impressed. Seemed like the kind of player we should be going for. Hopefully he turns out a lot of worse than my initial impression.

Will actually be interesting to see who has a bigger impact next season between him and Depay.

Nothing is so common as the wish to be remarkable.

We have enough 10s already. If not, he would have been a good bargain as well.

Not sure he'd be a bargain given they've signed him for 29 million.

But I do think our attack is far better on paper than in reality.

Ridiculous buy for 29m:lol: He's only slightly better than Lallana

I'm just glad we didn't get him. Would have been utterly pointless. Nice to see we aren't complete dimwits.
