Give peas a chance.
Ramos looks dead. Personally I believe we will get Schneiderlin next. Midfield sorted short and long term.
Think Ramos will probably be a slow burner with the DDG deal rumbling on too. Thought Madrid would follow up those hug photos with an announcement that Ramos wants to stay and is going to sign a new contract. Hasn't happened as of yet.

And in 2 weeks time report that Darmian passed his medical.
Completely forgot Darmian was having his medical now! lol

Any updates on it? haven't seen anything on twitter amidst this Schweinstiger storm bar some BS rumors that he failed his medical because of a lung issue..

Good point. I just assumed it was over with that photo. There are many games being played from both clubs and players so not so easy to guess what's coming next.
I'll be super happy if we could sign Schweinsteiger and Ramos in one window.

All we know is that his plane landed at 5-ish. He's probably done with his medical by now and the deal will likely be announced tomorrow.

Sounds like it would be the end of our interest in Schneiderlin that. Cant have 3 no 6's
Considering Carrick's age and Schweinstiger's as well.. Having Schneiderlin and Blind would allow us to use them better plus allow provide cover in case of injuries.

I guarantee you they won't. It's not like us and De Gea where we're taking a hit of about 15m or whatever, and we're cash rich -- Liverpool aren't exactly loaded so there's no way they take a hit of £40m+ by playing Sterling in the reserves. City shouldn't budge, Liverpool will cave.

I don't know why people are shocked over the price, £13mil is nothing for a player of his quality in todays game. Yes he's 30 but Carrick is 34 and was very good last season, we should be able to get 3-4 years out of Bastian so £13mil for 3-4 years of service is nothing.

Yeah, I agree. Maybe I'm becoming too blasé about money in football, but £13mil doesn't seem like an awful lot for a top class midfielder. Sure he's old, but City are paying £8mil for Fabian Delph. Would chose Bastian all day long.

Schweinsteiger and Schneiderlin are both capable of playing in the number 8 role in a 4-3-3 so I wouldn't rule it out. When you think about it, Herrera is our only proper player in that position so it would make sense to bring another player in capable of playing there.

Excellent if true. Džeko to Roma I mean.
Not sure how he'd fit in at Roma but Dzeko is a striker who guarantees goals. He's a striker who's perfect for a team at Roma's level where he will still get good service but will not face the pressure of getting dropped if he doesn't perform every match.

If we get Morgan as well then that's a serious upgrade from a 40 year old Giggs a post illness Fletcher a fat Anderson and a shell shocked Cleverly.

Yeah it always gets threatened but when was the last time a club willingly let a key player fester in the reserves for a full season? It's all just hollow posturing.

Roma needs an out and out striker, has been needing it for a while. Usually plays 4-3-3, with fast wingers and one striker. They just need someone to ship goals, chances will come. Or so I hope.:)
