Woody is a hero if we get Ramos in the end and De Gea leaves us. Nobody would have thought that scenario would have even been considered a few months back. Don't be mistaken, we are potentially getting one of their top/most important players. Woody for president.

As many have said, I can't be excited about the Ramos deal if it means De Gea is gone this summer. The way we are building the team, I seriously reckon we can challenge for titles and De Gea is key to that. Think of how many points he earned us last season. Although Ramos is a very good player, it is a gamble. A rash defender in a league that would punish that kind of rashness. He would need to hit the ground running in a big way to cover the loss of De Gea.

Isn't them making him, and him accepting it a massive breach of contract....
If you can prove it.

The chances of finding actual evidence of any wrong doing (probably from a meeting in a random Madrid restaurant while De Gea was home on his holidays at some stage in the last 12 months) is unlikely at best.

Have to be realistic though, we've done all we can to keep De Gea but he's obviously content with moving now or next summer so we have to make the best of the situation. There's nothing else we can do to convince him to stay.

The thinking is that our keeper will have less 'saving us' to do with the balance in the side. A shield of two proper midfielders in front of him, a (hopefully) improvement in the righrtback position and a CB who can command the backline and pass the ball out. We lacked all of that last season and needed our ass saved by the keeper... the theory is that won't be happening again.

You should really not link the two. De Gea is gone.

Just as De Gea is 'injured'
Are you saying that Lloris doesn't have a broken wrist?

Why the Llorente hate? Who really thought a top striker would join to play second fiddle to Rooney?
