Can someone tell me why, BLM supporters are against Bernie Sanders, a man with a history of being a supporter of black American rights and the only person to go on record in regards to stopping institutionalized racism and militarization of police. That's all I really know about him, the odd video I've seen of him he comes across as some who is genuine. It's baffling.
Like OccupyWallStreet, the lack of a centralized control and command center leaves the movement's public perception vulnerable to the actions of a few spastics, who are not being condemned by prominent figures in BLM. There is absolutely no excuse for going at the likes of Bernie or O'Malloy in anything other than a constructive approach.
If they continue down this path they will rapidly find themselves ignored and ostracized by the majority of the public.
That said, while condemning this and the shootings at Ferguson, let's not forget the great strides forced in the last year by an increasing focus on law enforcement and their relationship with people of color. O'Malley and Sanders have manifestos addressing structural inequality, an unheard of thing until recent.
I want Trump to win the nomination, as improbable as it seems now. Yes, I'm willing to take on the risk that he does an Istanbul and gets in the White House. Would beat the Palin nomination from an entertainment perspective.
Not a chance. He has zero crossover appeal, which is where the Gen election is won. Democratic women would never vote for a bullying, sexist like Trump, especially if their other option as a Dem woman.
Does not matter who wins the GOP nomination, but Trump winning will mean Hillary is President that very day.

Have to say, was surprised about him calling attention to money garnering you strong political favours, though. More like what I'd expect from Bernie than Donald.
Yep that was a bit surprising, but probably less so when you consider he has nothing to lose by telling the truth. Quite comically, he's given money to quite a few people who he was debating the other night.

So with some backing which I am sure he would get - and plenty of free airtime courtesy of being a walking soundbite I think he could muster up a decent campaign without putting too much a dent in his wealth.
eg the republicans spent about 10% of trumps net worth last time - so with some backing and cutting back on excess spending I imagine he has the funds required to make a more serious bid than Ross Perot did - and certainly make enough noise to draw a lot of campaign attention (and potentially kill the republicans chances)
absolutely no chance the republicans let Trump become their nominee - Fox and the Talk Radio will guarantee it.
If we wanted to screw them, all he has to do is not completely obliterate his credibility with yet more daft comments, then eventually run as an independent. That's why they still have to play nice with him.
While I think in the long run you´re right, Trump won´t make it to be the nominee, Fox News people are very divided on Trump, Ailes seems to have called him to make nice with him, and as far as talk radio, Limbaugh and that awfully nasty piece of work, Mark Levin, seem to be totally in his corner.
He's going to screw himself eventually. Right now he seems like a novelty with his supposed no holds barred approach. Eventually people will get tired of him.

I just can't see it - I see the polls, but I can't imagine him getting votes in any significant numbers to actually influence the result.

Basically his strategy is to character assassinate anyone who challenges him.
in a swing state like florida he would only need to take a few%...
And the votes he would be taking would either be existing republican votes - or people who had not previousley voted that the republicans were targeting.
given how close some of the states are and the electoral college voting system I think he would do enough damage to help the democrats in the swing states... a bit like perot did previousley

He would completely snuff out their chances of winning since few Democrats would vote for him but far more Republicans would. And when you look at how razor thin the voting margins have been in recent years, especially with Ralph Nader gifting the 2000 and 2004 elections to George Bush, its easy to see why the GOP hierarchy are bricking it at this point.
in fairness that seems to have been the tactic in the last couple of presidential elections proper so perhaps he is just starting early.
