To be fair Sunderland have an exemplary record against my team while United are known to have a faltering period after beating Forest 7:1 in cup finals. Its a fact.

You're never going to let RS forget this, are you?

Anyone playing fantasy PL here? I'm currently 41th. Berahino only one yet to play this week.

Fixed. (sorry)

How long is the break between seasons? Do we have a while to play some pre-season friendlies and sort new additions out, or is it pretty much straight back in to the action?
Theres a few pre season games. 2-3 weeks maybe, not 100%

Edit: theres a definite 1 week pre season and some down time before the season officially ends.

I look at the form guide when making my predictions and make carefully considered ones. City have lost their last couple of games while you've won your last couple.
I went with home/away stats this time. Wonder if we'll ever get more than 6/10.

Bellarabi from 85 to 90 in 9 months
I honestly don't understand that. He's really not very good.

If you add his stats for 14/15 + this season together you get:

Mins - 3222
Goals - 12
Assists - 9
Mins per Goal - 268.5
Mins per Assist - 358
Mins per Goal/Assist - 153.4

Bit odd really. Oh well, great news for you!

I was just as surprised. He has probably reached his max now regardless of form of league favouritism by SM, especially at Bayer. I might cash in on him and free up a slot.

Last season the last league fixture was on the 21st May. After that there are a few playoff matches/European finals, then the new season started on the 7th June. SM arranges the pre-season friendlies for you

What I do is as soon as the final league game is over (15th October this season), I recall my loan players who are at clubs not involved in play-off games.

So from the 19 I've got on loan right now, Stones, Rekik, Chambers, Gaya, Dier, Goretzka, Silva, Vilhena and Zivkovic are all likely to stay beyond the last league game of the season.

After that I then decide who will be in my 25ish man squad for the following season. My rough rule is anyone 88+ immediately goes into consideration while those below that rating are loaned out or sold if I've decided to sell them.

If there's too much competition in one position, like LB for example, then there's a chance I loan/sell a player permanently. That sort of thing I'll decide when the season is over.

I then make any new acquisitions (unlikely this time around as I'm happy with my squad) and thats it going into the new season

That's a real help and explains it nicely. It looks like I will be starting the new season with the exact same squad then, as all my players are transfer banned until mid November. :( Not too bothered though, because I can bed my team in properly and then just sell anyone who isn't playing well (like Podolski)

Thanks so much for that, mate :)

Shite, two more questions I have been meaning to ask (sorry)

Firstly, what's the crack with your balance being in the red? Do you get penalised for it? (like high interest rates, or get fired etc) and how much can you go overdrawn?

The other question I have is, my players wages show on the squad page that they are around £650k a week, but they are almost double that on my weekly balance sheet. What's going on there?

1. If you're in the red, you can't buy any players until you sell enough to get back in the black.
2. The 650k will be the figure per turn. Weekly balance shows two turns. It's a pain, I know. The weekly balance thing used to just show turns only which made things simpler.

Ahh thanks, I thought Q2 would be something obvious like that. You're right about it being a pain though. I presume you start earning more (through sponsorship and attendance) the higher you place in the league and the better your team plays? Do you get any bonuses for league position? Or is it just the top few that win money? And do you get any other single cash bonus payments like TV rights etc? or is just what you see on your weekly budget?

Yup. You earn more the better you do. End of season payout is also position based but that won't be too different based on few positions here and there. No other single inflow, all weekly.

Gundogan and kagawa have been  tonight. Both are back to their best. Gundogan especially has been excellent.

Ginter is keeping up his excellent form too. Him and sules can sort my defensive issues pretty quickly if they keep this up.

Just need amavi to move now.

Aye. Surprising how good Ginter has been as a RB. His problems have been defensively which is downright funny as he's a CB.

. Defending outwide is a lot different than defending centrally though. A major part of why he has been so good offensively is tuchel system where they overload the left flank, just need a good delivery then as he does have time on the ball.

Hopefully this will help him become a better defender in the long run, can work out very well for him too with Germany lacking in the right back department.

That's very true. It will be good for his overall development if he ends up becoming a versatile defender Hut I always feel it's better to jail a spot and stick to it in the long run. He does play for a top team though and is a kid so he'll just be happy to play. Good for you too. Versatility.
