I don't know about that. The Travelling Wilburys are pretty awful.every word the man has recorded is worth listening.
I love the accoustic era...but when he turned electric....it was just as good.

The Basement Tapes and The Bootleg seriesIf I have and really like the following albums...
...what one(s) should I listen to next?
A very good question Eboue, a very good question indeed.if bob dylan is so great then how come he is dead?
Thanks! I'll check them outThe Basement Tapes and The Bootleg series
John Wesley Harding and Nashville Skyline for me. I love 'Drifter's Escape' off the former and the latter has Dylan crooning in a way he never did before or after. As this short article says Dylan put it down to stopping smoking!:https://www.rollingstone.com/music/...w-country-voice-on-nashville-skyline-20160408If I have and really like the following albums...

If you're really into these albums you could start listening to his records chronologically. I had a blast doing it.If I have and really like the following albums...

If it was me I'd probably give The Times They Are A-Changin, Another Side of Bob Dylan and John Wesley Harding a listen next. JWH is great and the other two (while not up with his very best) round off that great run of albums from '63-'67. After that he changes things up a bit and moves into a different phase. If I have and really like the following albums...

Desire is worth a listen too. Thanks everyone, I'll check out all the albums mentioned here
Added it to my list!Desire is worth a listen too.
Too late I've already got my flag.dont listen to that its the one where he swears allegiance to isis
Isis is my favourite song by him. Bastards ruined it. Now when people ask I need to pretend it's Tangled up in Blue.dont listen to that its the one where he swears allegiance to isis
Agreed, it's probably my most listened to Dylan album. The Times They Are A-Changin' used to be my favourite but I find it's heavy handedness really off putting these days. Boots of Spanish Leather is still possibly my favourite Dylan song though. I actually reckon Boootleg 1-3 is as good a collection of songs as any of the albums. I'd take the likes of Rambling Gambling Willie, Moonshiner, Bear Mountain Picnic, Davey Moore, House Carpenter over some of his more celebrated music.
I've had it on every Christmas since it came out.@Olly Tempest is good, released in 2012 so it's after his voice has completely gone but still worth a listen.
Also Christmas in the Heart, it's suprisingly awesome in parts.
What one is that?!dont listen to that its the one where he swears allegiance to isis
These are indeed great. You should also watch these two documentaries @Olly

My dad is a huge Dylan nut and even has a signed print of one of his mushy paintings, the wierdo. I'm more of a casual fan but when a song like Moonshiner starts up I feel like I get it.
its called "i endorse isis and all of its offshoot groups that have sworn allegiance to it"What one is that?!
Cool thanks, will do!@Olly Tempest is good, released in 2012 so it's after his voice has completely gone but still worth a listen.

Yep. I like it though, plenty of suggestions to get through!@Olly
You're being swarmed by Dylan admirers now
Agreed here. I’ve never rated Hurricane.Hurricane is probably Dylan's most overrated song
Very good tune. My favorite rotates between “Lay, Lady, Lay”, “Tangled up in Blue”, and “Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright”Boots of Spanish Leather
