Music has changed a lot, seems everyone just listens to stuff to make them depressed. No wonder suicide rates are high.

Shes an oik with a great voice. I like her because she writes her own stuff unlike 99% of the charts now.

Just got the full album, not on par with either 19 or 21 but excellent regardless. Really like 'Million Years Ago' and 'Water Under The Bridge'

Can't stand her.

Is it the same fella she's still singing about, or has some other fella decided to abandon ship?

Either way, you have to question her state of mind

She looks a lot better body wise these days, which is great considering she had a child not so long ago.

I've only listened to hello a few times but I find it really repetitive, I love her voice but I find most of her big hits to be uninspiring and same sounding. Might give her albums a go sometime soon to see if she can win me over.

'Hello' was just more of the same warm diarrhoea we've been served before. That said, she does seem a bit more of the adults choice in a chart saturated with music aimed at 12 year old girls. So there's that.

One of the real perks of living in China has got to be that I haven't heard this song yet.

The Guardian nailed her latest album:

“Send my love to your new lover,” she sings brightly, “I hope you treat her better.” In fact, it’s hard not to start feeling your sympathy shift a little from the dumpee to the dumper. “When I call you never seem to be home,” she protests on Hello, which does rather make you think: well, you have just sold 30m copies of an album largely concerned with telling the world what a terrible shit he is. He’s probably trying to keep a fairly low profile.

I don't enjoy her music, but I respect her. She seems alright in interviews.

Ironic that I started this thread considering I find her mind-numbingly dull nowadays. Still has a great voice, and I think she is great. But her music is

She seems obsessed with her ex. I wouldn't be too happy if I was her current partner.

Everyone seems to be talking about records sold and numbers achieved, and not about the music itself.

Still, its an amazing feat, I don't think anyone will come close to those numbers.

The OP is stupidly outlandish. "Far and away the best female vocalist". Even in pop music there are vocalists who are comparable such as Beyonce, Aguilera and Whinehouse. I assume then the OP has heard all the classical, opera, soul etc female vocalists of recent times to back up such a sure statement.

Adele's voice is great but her music is standard. Her best song was a cover written by Bob Dylan.

Also anyone who mentioned 'fat' in regards to her is a fecking idiot.

I bet her knickers are feckin' massive.
You could wear them as a sports bra!

I wouldn't buy Adele's music but she has some really great songs that I turn up on the radio.

There seems to be no artistic evolution coming from her but she is still breaking all sorts of records staying in one place. I think that she will have to come up with something different next time though.

As far as pop music goes, 'Hello' is decent. As per it's as much about the production and melody of the lyrics as much as it is about the voice (probably more). Does she write her own stuff?

To be fair, at this point, Adele could literally write and sing about absolutely anything, and people would buy it in the millions.
