I'd just like to say that the previous criteria that only gave you one sheep and loads of festive joy was presented by yours truly.

You can now resume hurling abuses in the general direction of Gio. :D

This is not just tough. It's more like get it right first time or pick yourself a sheep....again :(
Yep. We considered the quartet of Eusébio, Di Stéfano, Cruyff, and Van Basten. But knew that atleast one muppet would ruin everything; just like with Bozsik, Falcão, Passarella, Figueroa and Moore. Been burnt too many times, so decided to go with a relatively safe pick. That said, even Stage 2 and 3 were full of top, top players. Couldn't go wrong either way.

<3, best criterion by a mile and a half mate. Have you considered overthrowing Czar Gio yet?

 I usually become a little generous when handing out sheep draft criteria as you can see in the one I hosted earlier, which had negligible sheep compared to this one.

Gio's been a bit brutal, and all credit goes to him for doing that, it is an absolute nightmare to successfully organise rounds like the moustache one without the whole thing crashing on it's head. As well as the participants who took everything in a great spirit. It's been a great draft so far.

I appreciate the balanced nature of this draft, unlike Skizzo's, which was properly evil and brutal.

Delighted we got our pick.

That said, I'm surprised nobody stopped @The Stain from getting that midfield combination.

Thought there would be a few more blocks, I assume some guarenteed vote grabbers have slipped through. Fully expected those three to get blocked though.

Maldini is such an obvious choice I'm quite surprised only 2ppl went for him.
I didn't see any Munich blocked players who were arguably the best choices as well. Otherwise I'd imagine most people went safe, bar you, Tuppet and Stobzilla as you guys have advantage in sheep allocation.:)

The lock to country/club/event criteria adds a lot of complexity. It's not like you can go for glory and can still end up with decent 3rd round safe picks....it's do or die mostly.
Yeah, outside a small handful of clubs that have multiple eligible players who can be labeled truly draft worthy, it was always going to be a straight-up do or die scenario.

If I hadn't landed my man, I would've been stuck in a pool containing a) players it would be immensely difficult to sell or b) players I simply have no use for, given what positions I need to fill.
