The problem we have now if we don't sack him is that we can hardly sack him if he wins the Chelsea game.

I suspect that Giggs isn't an option, otherwise he would have been given the job for one or two games. From that I will say that Guardiola isn't an option either and the board tries to convince himself that Mourinho isn't an awful appointment after all.
Good point about Giggs JP, bit IMO we never know what stupidity our board is up to :nervous:

I can only imagine LvG will last to the summer if the manager we want to bring in is not available at the moment. Surely if we wanted Jose we'd get rid of LvG now and rescue our hopes of top 4 and a potential cup? If we don't, you'd have to think we have the likes of Pep lined up for the summer and they don't trust any interims above LvG.

Maybe we've already contacted Mourinho but he doesn't want his first match to be against Chelsea. I'm expecting something to happen after the Chelsea match.

Relax. If we have decided to sack him, he will be gone. Chelsea result won't do anything. However we might have decided to stick with him till the end of the season or when it's mathematically impossible to achieve the bare minimum. In that case, enjoy the ride and hope for the best.

Yeah, very fair point. Whilst I want him sacked, I still want us to win because if he ain't going anyway we might as well win and try and do well!

Exactly what I'm thinking, and then I realise, why on earth would we win against Chelsea? At this moment, the team doesn't look capable of getting up for any game. It's just drifting along and it's pretty disgraceful it's being allowed to happen.

Pathetic we're still sat here waiting for this situation to pan out, he's lost the team and fans.

We'd be far better running with Giggs for the Chelsea game now.

Chelsea are pretty crap at the moment, will be missing Costa and we're at home. At the very least we should draw that game. I might be the only one but I could see Van Gaal resigning after a win.

Waking up this morning to see he's still in charge!! Wtf is wrong with this club? How many more games will it take till the board finally grows a pair? We're in free fall and it nothing changes now it's bye bye champions league and hello Liverpool status.

Baffling incompetence by those that run United if he's still in charge for Chelsea.

Really starts to beg the question if the board should be ones to face the sack as well.

If it's revealed Charlton is still banging the drum against Mourinho I despair.

Fair enough! But I do agree that giving him Stoke and Chelsea is madness. The board and Woodward ought to be questioned for their decision making, especially if we hand Giggs the reins on a permanent basis.
He should have been sacked straight after the game yesterday.

It looks to me as though the board has no intention of sacking him any time soon ffs.

It's completely within their rights the have issues with a new manager coming in. Not just for previous behaviour but also after a shocking season, far worse than Utd under LVG. It's a massive decision and if they don't fancy Jose it's perfectly understandable.

Then there is the Pep factor. Maybe just maybe newspaper reports of his agreement with city is false. And we are in the running for him. Then we certainly don't get Jose

I'm not a fan of those who run Utd but you have to look at other possible scenarios about why things aren't happening instantly to appease impatient and spoilt fans

It is all very frustrating when nothing is changing on pitch yet board are not taking initiative in changing things.

There is nothing spoilt about wanting LvG gone after this terrible run of form. Wake up.

Maybe we don't want Mourinho. Maybe Guardiola wants to join in the summer, so the real choice being made is whether LvG or Giggs sees out the season. Wildly optimistic but nobody really knows what's going on behind closed doors.

This whole wanting everything done instantly is spoilt and lacks any consideration

Did you read the rest of my post?

Oh f*ck off! I thought he'd be sacked by the time I woke up. Total idiots in charge of the club. The whole fecking world knows it's way overdue yet the only people that don't want to accept it are the ones that have to take action.

Van Gaal is an idiot as well. Just fecking resign ffs. Surely he can't be deluded enough to think he could turn it around and he can't really think the fans and players are still behind him?

I was convinced there was no way he'd still be in charge after the Norwich embarrassment. It's a complete circus now.

Fluking a win against Chelsea would mean feck all.

If we are getting Pep, then you might as well let Giggs finish the season. He might actually play better football andif he was coming the results wouldn't be as paramount.

Regardless of whether the United board support Van Gaal or decide to sack him or something in between, I think a competent Executive Vice Chairman ought to issue a statement in the wake of yesterday's result.

Dave Sexton was sacked after winning his last 7 games in charge. Our current gaffer hasn't won in 7 and he's still here.

Let's keep it real... Moyes was complete horse shit from every angle. LVG is not a good fit for this club but he has done a few good things. I wish him the best, but he needs to get the feck out and give Jose a chance (assuming pep is out of the picture).
LVGs record with MU is worse than Moyes. LVG is ruining the club, players and fans. Cannot think of anything good from him.
