United squad: De Gea, Romero, Varela, Darmian, Smalling, Blind, McNair, Borthwick-Jackson, Herrera, Schneiderlin, Fellaini, Pereira, Mata, Januzaj, Memphis, Lingard, Rooney, Martial
This is the squad for tomorrows game. It actually makes we want to cry at the quality. We should have been bringing in the big name players while we were still winning, but we held onto players for too long, gave other too much of a chance. The ones bolded should not be near our squad, the ones in italics are reserve players with some talent. The rest apart from DDG and Martial are good squad players who should have world class players in with them. The fact that some think they are our better players just sums us up. I just worry that we missed the boat in getting the quality we needed to keep us right at the top. The fact that we are in such a quandry over Shaw being missing, another kid. Yes we have injuries but to be honest he is the only one we do miss. Carrick and BFS are good but past their best. Rojo and Jones are squad players. If we don't bring in top class options to actually make us into a team and knit us together then there might be a few barren years. We'll hopefully win 2-1 tomorrow but if the team he names first don't do it, I have doubts about the bench changing it.
This is not the squad of a team that is the third richest in the world, or more to the point, unfortunately it is.
After my rant we will likely win at a canter.
