I'm just as livid as anyone else about last night but it's been pencilled in to be released/announced on 11th May for months. So what are they supposed to do exactly, cancel it because we were terrible last night?
Maybe wait until end of the season? Not like it makes a big difference for us, the club will sell the shirts regardless.

Adidas aren't going to cancel a pre-planned kit launch & release after shipping the kits to shops all over the world after one result mate.

Not saying that. The club should have been smarter and planned it better. That's what I'm saying, for once let the season play out and take it from there.

But, commercial success is far too important now, which is sad.

Why did the 1968 team wear blue? I get that all our blue kits now are a homage to that and the kits of the 80s but where did it actually originate?

Wouldn't be surprised if we wear the new kit either this Sunday or in the cup final, Chelsea have done it before with Adidas.

We're wearing it on Sunday.
It turns out that we're not now..

From the official site:-

The current United players will make their maiden appearance in the new away kit for the club's first pre-season match, in Shanghai on 22 July against Borussia Dortmund as part of Tour 2016, presented by Aon.

Hmm, so the pic posted here earlier was BS?

Or they've backed out of it
Yeh mate - I was under the impression we'd be wearing it on Sunday too..

Most likely backed out, I think. Makes very little sense to release it now if it was never going to be worn until pre season anyway.

Checked the official website. Saw the word revealed. Hoped it was a new manager but it's the club flogging another polyester t shirt. Given last night's supine performance, maybe it should have an optional yellow streak.

With our away kit and Chelsea home, it looks like Adidas are going for the pyjamas look this season.

The twitter responses are vitriolic to say the least. I hope sales are awful.

The 3rd kit may be my first ever jersey purchase (pending closer inspection on how the pattern looks on a long-sleeve...).

Can't play the video at work. Any signs of Rooney in the new kit?

Doesn't the away kit each season become the following season's 3rd kit? Or have I imagined that?! I like the new away kit but why on earth were there ever plans afoot to wear it on Sunday? At Old Trafford, our home ground, for which we have this red, white & black kit some fans may be familiar with!
