LVG's notebook
The sad thing is, if we beat Crystal Palace to the FA Cup next weekend we'll have to put up with his post-match gloating saying things like "I came here to win trophies and that's what I have delivered". Acting like he knew it all along. You can just imagine him saying something like that. The prick.

For the first time, I genuinely think he'll be sacked now. Said for a while that the only way he wouldn't get sacked is finishing 4th and winning the FA Cup. Who we replace him with is a different matter.

All his going horny for the pointless possession stat and abandoning what actually wins you game as in scoring sounding so stupid now. #Philosophy

At least we won the "most tolerant and patient club" trophy.
Funny that we sacked Moyes despite him having a 6 year contract, yet LVG has remained throughout all of this crap. The club doesn't have clue what it's doing and I have doubts even Mourinho can pick us up. After SAF retired many people said we'd become the next Liverpool. Looks like they're right.

There's no doubt in my mind that we'd be comfortably 3rd now had he been sacked mid season. We've bottled that decision and fully deserve this.

Irony of all this being, if we'd only gotten one fecking point off Bournemouth the last time we played them, it'd still be alive for us.
If we had only conceeded one goal in the last 10 minutes against West Ham rather than 2...

Well I'd be shocked if his fate isn't sealed now. Obviously not before the final but he'll get sacked for not finishing in the top 4.

I really don't want to see him leading the team out at Wembley, maybe Woodward can sack him and manage the team himself on Saturday.

I genuinely can't wait for this toss-pot to get the boot. He's an arrogant, moronic and completely unlikable wanker who has been nothing but a shit stain on our club.

Good riddance you senile feckwit.

The league was so poor this year and yet with all of the cash we've spend, we end up on par with West Ham and Southampton.

And for how poor we've been, for inconsistent we've been, for how impotent our attack has been, CL qualification essentially came down to the poor in-game work LVG has done. The 3-0 smashing by Arsenal and Spurs where he sat on his rump and did nothing while we were getting blown off the pitch. His insistence on playing two holders even against relegation fodder. The idiotic substitutions he made that cost us points. The West Brom defeat particularly stands out for me.

There is nothing that will ever convince me that he is a good manager. He is an absolute plank who was blessed with top-level players that could overcome his effect on teams we're seeing now. Will be sickened watching him lead us out next week.

When a board is has bad as this, we will end up like liverpool. Today is a chance to end his reign, and go out and win this FA Cup, knowing we start fresh, to be honest now is the day we get the Mourinho saga done and dusted.

Top 4 still not mathematically impossible therefore LVG lives on. Would be harsh to sack him before the Cup Final anyway.

Perhaps this is for the best. He can go out with a trophy (potentially) being happy and we can get a new manager next year.

I think his fate is sealed now. His job would always hang on whether we got top 4 or not and now it is clear that we won't, the writing is on the wall for him. I wish him and the team the best of luck next week and hope that he can bow out with a cup win, but that should be the end of his reign as Utd manager.

Surely it's in his contact that we can terminate it if he doesn't achieve top 4?

Win the cup, Louis. Then pack your bags by June 30th and enjoy your retirement in Portugal.

It's on us.

Well done, Louis.

Theres your "dependable of Swansea"...
They can be.

Just not with their best players injured and the more sinister "rested".

If we ever need to do them a favour, I hope we "rest" the key players
