Just goes to show once we go outside our main 13 players how weak we actually are. The likes of Murphy, McGeady, Givson, Keogh and potentially Christie are weak options to have. Either not good enough or past it.

Also goes to show the kind of presence that the likes of Jon Walters and John O'Shea have (even at this stage in his career). Have to say Whelan also.

For sure. Same can be said for Hoolahan as well. Whelan had a great end to the campaign. Brilliant at home to Georgia

And long makes a huge difference, assist already. Done more than Murphy has in his 60min stint

Christie has been decent in his other appearances but has been really poor tonight. Murphy is just useless at this level.

Not getting a single point. Dreadful.
It's possible we won't get a point but you can't read too much into tonight's game. Very few of these players will play. The proper team was unlucky not to beat Holland the other night.

It's your last warm up game isn't it? How are you taking half a squad that won't feature? How are you back up players being out played and out thought by Belarus? Also, Holland didn't qualify for the euros despite being the easiest to qualify for in terms of the number of places.

That performance was woeful tonight, I was shocked at how bad it was.

We have a much better chance if we field the 11 vs Holland. Our depth is non existent though, any injuries and we are fecked. We need O'Shea, Coleman, Long and Walters firing on all cylinders.

Our backline was woeful, Keogh and Christie are not starters. Whelan and McCarthy in midfield, better shape straight away

Because we have a decent first team but a weak squad. O' Neill won't make many changes with the usual team unless necessary. Plus this is the last chance for players before the squad is officially announced, some of the ones playing tonight won't be going. And the ones that are likely to be going would have been trying to avoid any injuries at all costs.

I know Holland aren't great either but they matched England recently, iirc. Who beat Germany and France. Basically what I'm saying is not much should really be read into friendlies like these.

Yep like above. Our second team won't play if at all possible. Our first team, if fit, will do alright and may even better than people expect. We'll feck all impact subs though.

Murphy is a bigger lucky fella. He does nothing for us. A target man who can't do anything at this level, another Conor Sammon.

I thought the deadline for all squads was today? or was that just the FA deadline for England?

Don't get me wrong here lads, I want you to do well, I always do when you're in a tournament (there's probably some Cromwell guilt in there to be honest) I was just really disappointed with what I saw tonight.

EDIT: Just seen the squad announcement, wow Daryl Murphy is going?!

This probably isn't the last of your disappointment.

Excluding Given, Buffon, Casillas and whatever other keepers.....how many outfield players other than Robbie Keane are in this tournament that went to the 2002 World Cup?

Oh Zlatan!

I don't remember Murphy ever playing well for us. We really can't afford to lose any of our starting 11 or we're in trouble.
