All FGN and usually could only play 3 at a time. Tough decision who to buy.

Constantly at the STD clinic.
Someone help me... was it FM 2010 or 2011. There was this star player in La Liga... Athletico Madrid or something. In real life he was this skinny/teenage/young adult attacker... argh!!

Nicolas Millan and Sherman Cardenas from FM 07. Utter legends both of them. Also Harland Self used to be a regen from the academy who almost always went on the become world class.
Only one player has ever come close to matching my love for the great Sherman Cardenas, and he was a regen. Cardenas was freakishly consistent from a young age and I'd have him on corners and free-kicks because he was brilliant.
Seemed to disappear a bit from the game, but I have tracked him down! Still have decent if you want to play at a lower level.

Marco Verratti was a very cheap signing a few years ago from Pescara and would go on to be a top player. Used to be one of my first signings, it was very annoying when he moved to PSG.

All mint, but Mark Kerr is the best FM player I've ever had. Didn't matter who you played as, whether you were United, Barca, Coventry, Nantes or Ajax he was always the player to build your team around.
I loved all of these players. Would also add Peter Prospar and Catalin Munteanu.

Nah, was in recent FM editions.
Also Timo Werner was a beast. Became a fan of him so much that I benched Martial in FM16 for him :P

Marquinhos - not the PSG defender. He was a winger/striker from brazil, won me 4 champions leagues in a row with Newcastle and Inter.

In the old CM2, always loved to sign the Joao Pinto and Figo (before Barcelona) duo.

Sindre Loe Bing, probably going back to 05/06'ish -- played every position except centreback and had 20's for almost every technical & mental stat.

Alphonse Areola, the french GK that could be had for less than £20,000 and always turned out to be world class.

Used to always sign Martin Palermo on Championship Manager. Him and Richard Pacquette would form a lethal partnership for me.

Just found out that Pacquette scored against Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth round in 2008 and is actually still playing - for his 32nd club.

Anthony Vanden Borre was ridiculous at a very young age. Played him in a variety of positions and he never broke a sweat.

FM 07- Mauro Zárate became heroic after a year or two.

Has never really shown anything substantial in his couple of spells in the premier league, mind.

There was a player Marquinhos, not sure which club but in FM 2009 he was class and could sign for just 17 million.

I mentioned him a few posts up. Can't remember the club either.

Akinfieev the keeper as well. Think he was with Shakthar at the time???? Or maybe it's a different keeper from Shakthar, I'd always try pick up a few there like N'Diaye and Agahowa as well. You'd have to wait a year to get him on a free due to his clubs season already started.

Palermo was awesome. You could buy him for £12m

Help me find the name to this one.

There was a slightly aging, cheap but absolutely class Italian striker in FM08. His finishing was rated 20 and he would always bang them in. I can't remember much else about him.

But Aaritalo(?), Pandev, Saivet and Barzagli were the perfect teammates for him.

Edit: Turns out he wasn't aging and it was Vantaggiato

Raul Meireles was an absolute beast for me on one of my games back in the day few years before he moved to the Premier League. He also used to score pile driving free kicks and he constantly got assists from taking corners.
