I heard "philosophy" and " process" :nervous:
Principals ... but, every manager has some sort of foundation they base their management on. The problem with the previous one was his was the end all be all. JM seems to more open to what is in front of him and being prepared for every eventuality.

Saying all the right things.

Fed up of these "pre seasons" though. Such a waste of time in footballing terms. All the money we pump into sports science and the medical facilities but then we take huge short cuts on the core fitness work.

18+34/2=26. he is saying the ages of our strikers complement each other because one has youth while the other has experience.
Agreed, I think he was just using those two as a reference point being the youngest and the oldest of the strikers. I wouldn't read any more into it than that.

He's such a force multiplier to our pull, you can see his charm, combine Jose with United (and $$$) and I think we can get whomever he wants if we really go for it.

If I was a player I'd want to play for Mourinho just like I imagine players felt about the prospect of Ferguson.

He looked calm and cool knowing he's our manager, he sounds like he's trilled but doesn't show it visually because he know's he deserves to be there unlike Moyes who couldn't stop smiling.

He said all the right thing about winning but the funny thing is it's not to please the fans (Via LVG), but because victory, silverware and records is exactly what he wants!

Quote me on any of last seasons threads, I always wanted Mourinho over Pep and am convinced he'll be our long term manager. Chelsea were idiots for letting him leave, even if he fell out with some troublesome stars. I and many Chelsea fans agreed would have sold the entire squad to keep Jose. One mans loss another mans gain, eh?

I really liked that presser. Straight forward answers, no dilly dallying around. I liked that stuff that he wants to win everything. He seemed calm and not his old a bit arrogant self and that's good, he seems to me like a man who wants to do a job and can't wait to do it.

No bs about philosohpy or a process or three years or we aspire to be at City's level, just we want to start early and we want to win everything cause it's Manchester United and anything less is not enough.

The fact he wants to get all the deals done long before 31th of August is the best thing. Classic Mourinho, fill the gaps, get the players you need and let's get going.

Fact that he said is not a dream job but a job everybody wants to do and he has that job in a right time of his career is also good. If he said something like I'm at the biggest club in the world it would be cheesy and overall I don't like it when players say it cause it doesn't sound sincere, I don't know.

Dig at Wenger was fun but he should let it go. Liked how he said something it's not about him and Pep.

Some couldn't wait for the quotes about Rooney and some caftards, who obviously have irrational hate and dislike for Rooney, thought Mou's quotes mean it's the end of Rooney. But it didn't sound anything like that. It just meant he won't be a mid, which is great, and he'll compete for nr. 10 and nr. 9 which is even better. No special place or guaranteed place for Rooney, fight for your position as others.

In any case I can't wait for the season for start.

Yeah but that dream job quote you can also interpret him meaning that it's not a dream job when it's a reality that he has the job. It really doesn't matter either way. I think he has changed a lot and this will be a different Jose for the most part. I'm sure he might slip into old habits but I think his general demeanor is very good.

Somehow Real, Barcelona and Chelsea make it work regardless.

It all sounded like Jose as followed us as a club very closely since he got potted at Chelsea .
As if he's got a shrine with cuttings and posters of the last 3 years .
Everything he said was everything we wanted to hear .
He as such an aura about him it's frightening .
FORTY NINE !!

Wanted to put his Instagram photo in front of 1968 team with the caption BIG CLUB.

Didn't know how but it's great. :)
