I so hope he stays grounded and works hard to become better and better. Incredible talent and he seems to be a "good lad". Sky is the limit.

Was similar in a way to England vs Iceland but thankfully jose gave Rashford 20 minutes not 5 and that was the end result.
Should be a starter for us now and if he continues to play like this may well be one of the greats.

Adnan, but that's derailed spectacularly.

Rashford has taken over and it's frightening how easy this game seems to come to him. Absolutely love him!

I don't think he should be starting yet, I think Jose should manage his appearances, like Fergie did with Ronaldo, let him make an impact from the bench it's nice to have a plan b and also good for rashford to develop without having pressure on him to perform from kick off

In an era of swaggy show offs, he does seem the closest to that old fashioned, innocent, determined youngster with stars in their eyes like the Co92.

Can anyone compile a list of important goals he scored for us so far?
2 vs Midgetland
2 vs Arsenal
Winner vs City
First goal vs West Ham
Winner vs Villa
(Fairly unimportant goal vs Bournemouth)

Winner v Hull

Constantly at the STD clinic.
Exactly.
I think Macheda, in his time, was every bit as prolific as Januzaj...for a few games.
Anderson, when he was at his peak, also had a few good games, for us.

Rashford, no doubt, is our most exciting young prospect right now. He knows how to put the ball at the back of the net - something that strikers in their prime find difficult to do (eg. Balotelli).
Wow... macheda as prolific as Januzaj?

For some reason I keep expecting him to be underwhelming, and yet he never has been. It just seems too good to be true, I think. Especially so since I didn't really know of him, yet I'd heard about Keane and Wilson for years. For him to be doing what he is doing, consistently, and for him to look just as good in his appearances for England, is truly remarkable. If LVG is to have any kind of legacy for us it will probably be giving Rashford a chance

Better than Giggs, better than Rooney, This lad has potential to be the best on the planet.

He is a bundle of energy whenever he has the ball against a tiring defence. Would slowly integrate him into the starting eleven. Right now, coming off the bench is the best way for the team. Huge potential to be a big big player for us.

I still keep half expecting him to be found out as an over promoted flash in the pan any minute now...but he keeps proving to be some kind of heaven sent Gazza-Ronaldo hybrid with every passing game... I can't fathom it at all. I love him with every fiber of my being.

The highest praise I can give him is that everytime he has the ball I expect something good to happen for us. I cannot get enough of him.

I think wwe've had others come through even in recent years who are as or arguably even more talented in terms of ability....but he just has that something that other players don't.

Yesterday was a perfect example. If you throw an 18 year old on in a PL game, you don't expect them to crop up and score the winning goal in the last minute. I mean they might but you wouldn't put them on expectig them to do that. Rashford already, you kind of do put him on expecting him to do that, because he just has that nack of doing it.

I'm fairness, half the people on here piss themselves when someone from the academy takes a good first touch

Morrison was the last one I remember everyone drooling over though

I thought Scholes only really matured when he got into his 20s? Undecided about Beckham though.

When Giggs first arrived, you can not believe the stir he caused, he was the best thing to happen to United since George Best, there was that famous film mockup, where they had Giggs playing with Best on the same pitch. People raved about him when he was 17/18.
Scolds first came through as a striker when he was 18. Scored about 14 goals and then we signed Andy Cole and scholes mostly went into the background til he was about 22 when he started establishing himself as a midfielder. Which was weird. I remember thinking at the time 'what's happened to him'. Obviously at that time you couldn't really look it up on line to see what was going on so it was a bit of a mystery.

Basically beat me too it and said what I was going to say, whenever Rashford has the ball I literally expect a goal to come of it whether it be him creating or scoring.

He causes genuine panic into the opposition which creates space and time for others as the opposition are concerned with Rashford, academy wise then no one since Giggs has burst through like that and I don't think any young player since Ronaldo has had such sustained expectation on him including Januzaj as he was nowhere near as sustained.

He's been fantastic so far, wen need to manage him carefully though. Too often young strikers are overplayed and seem to burn out easily.

What is more impressive than that is his ability to be in the right place at the right time. That is unteachable.
He has skill and pace and whatever but being right there when the ball arrives is the best thing.
Rush, lineker, wright, Solskjaer, rvn, all had it and Rashford does too. that is what will make him special.

His post-match interview was class. Head on a swivel, feet on the ground, relishing the competition. The interviewer was trying to get him to say he was frustrated by not playing, but he sort of batted it away by saying he was up for the fight against guys like Zlatan, Martial and co.

He's astoundingly mature and composed considering the whirlwind of a 6 or 7 months he has had.

Messi had nothing on him at the same age. He is brilliant.

with rashford every time i see him play its like hes just down the park having a kick about just with the likes of ibra, pogba, rooney, hope he stays grounded because for 18 years old and what hes done in 6 months is exciting to see him become a OT legend and hes a local lad even better!

He glides around the pitch with such ease and elegance, really hope Jose rounds him into one hell of a striker!

He's played about 10 minutes so far this season!

The vast majority of people are clamouring for more.
Yep. I just mean I actually approve of the restriction considering we are only 3 games into the season, I want him to get 20-25 games or so. I don't want him to be playing every game at his age.

Thought exactly the same, he just doesn't seem fazed and he's consistently turning up in the big moments. Fast becoming one of my favourite players cause it's just a fairytale story so far, I hope he keeps doing exactly what he has done to date cause it's sure working for him. 18 years old, frightening potential.

Rashford is a similar talent to Welbeck in my opinion. Good but not the top quality like Ibrahimivic or a younger Rooney had.
Sorry but he's already a level above welbeck. Danny always had pace and work rate, but very little end product saw him shifted around onto the wings as you couldn't guarantee him as a goal scorer. No chance with rashford, he's got an eye for goal that you just can't teach. Add the pace and skill he also has, he's going to be phenomenal.
