I would love him back on a short term deal and think Mourinho could get a good level of performance out of him.

DO IT. Just for the Pogba and Evra instragram videos alone, that's got to be worth it.

Send Darmian in the other direction.

Get him till the end of the season. Good experience and no doubt can still do a job.

He hasn't played much this season.

I could see Jose getting good performances out of him if we gave him a short term deal till the end of the season. He is good with older players .

Oh God. Really!? Evra?

He must be even slower now. I mean, he was slow before.
He must be like 33 now? Would be a bad sentimental move. The Italian league is perfect for him.

Do it, pay him the money to have sit on the stands for all I care. Bring Evra back. Legend.
35, and it doesn't matter he's fitter than he used to be, I'd even have him in the centre of the field to win the ball back.

I wasn't too disappointed when he left but damn do I wish he'd return now.

Not as a player I hope, he's one of my favourite players, and I'd hate to see his memory tainted by the moronic goldfish on here.

You can be sure if he signs on, has a few bad games, people will start questioning if he was ever even that good to begin with. Right now he's remembered as a beast of a LB and I'd like to keep it that way.

I hope he hangs up his boots next year so he can return in some off field capacity with us.

As a player no, he was well behind the pace when we sold him, these days he even looks off pace in Serie A.

I would love to have Evra back with the club in some capacity. He clearly loves Manchester United, and was always a great personality and leader. He always showed great respect for the history of the club and wore the shirt with pride. That said, I don't believe that a return as a player is a good idea. He was becoming a liability on the pitch before he left. I can't say that I've watched him closely over the past few years, but I'm willing to wager that he hasn't gotten any quicker. He should be a club ambassador at some point, but if a left back is really needed (which, in my opinion, is not a priority at all), then we should be looking elsewhere.

Would love it to happen, be great as a short-term option IMO.

Hope he then stays with the club in some capacity - United Legend for me in recent times, one of the few foreign players that just "got it" when it came to the heritage of the club.

This is definitely a heart ruling the head scenario.

love Paddy, but I dont even want to start pulling up his performance threads where we all went Ape shit when he played towards the end. We all wanted ButtSex playing ahead of him and were crying for Baines/ Shaw to replace him. Coaching role/ambassador is a different story though

Just because he wants to come back doesn't mean we should take him. I love Evra but he was past it when he left, it would be a nice sentimental move, but I'd be very surprised if he came back and was any good.

Would love him back at United in any capacity. He's simply the type of character that needs to be involved with the club in some manner - he doesn't have to be a player.

Hell, just have him as the Official Squad Cheerleader and have him hang around/travel with the team. He'd be a perfect influence for the younger players, especially Shaw.

Come home, Paddy

I don't see why we wouldn't take Paddy back for half a season or potentially longer. He's a great character to have around the dressing room, seemed to certainly helped us out with the Pogba deal also. He doesn't even have to play that much, I'm sure at his age, he'd be content to get a game every now and then.

If we want to go on to be a successful team over the next few seasons, we need characters that remember what United was all about. Winning is a culture that needs to be bread.

No-one wanted Buttner ahead of him. I think people wanted Shaw to come in and rotate with Evra.

No please no. Not as a player.

Don't ruin your reputation. It might get ugly if he doesn't perform

He's had a nice closure to his united career (not the best, but he'll be remembered as a legend at least)

As an ambassador or coach perhaps but not as a player

Definitely not in a playing capacity. He couldn't handle it here in his last season so no chance he would now.

Nostalgia aside, is he really good enough to still play in the premier league?
No more good enough for the premier league, too fast league

Not good enough for the slow seria A as well, Alex Sandro always the first choice

Constantly at the STD clinic.
No way. Love paddy but his performances at the end of his time here was imo half the reason why we lost so many games. Left side was constantly exposed.
