I expect Klopp to target our flanks here, and start Origi up front. Keeping Pogba, Zlatan in mind, and the fact that Karius is not great with long shots and control of the box, I think Mignolet will start.

    ------------------Origi-----------------
    -Firmino-----Coutinho----Lallana--
    ---------Henerson---Can------------
    -Milner----Matip----Lovren--Clyne-
    ---------------Mignolet---------------

Firmino, Milner to target Valencia, and Clyne/Lallana will target Blind.
Henderson is injured is he not?

What an awful weekend this will have been if we lose tomorrow. Come on United lets come out and destroy them and keep the steam train going.

Can't see Coutinho starting as he'll be knackered when we need him, i.e last 30 minutes. So, starting:
    Hendo Can
    Lallana Wiji Firminho
    Origi

Hopefully Can will put in a worldie performance after that crap against Southampton. And Origi's pace should keep Blind occupied in Mane's absence.

I doubt Origi will start up front. Probably Firmino as a false 9

This is what I want to see. Players who 'get it'. I always worry about foreign players, because I wonder will they understand the importance of winning this match as we fans do? It's a matter of life and death, and they need to get it into their heads that this is simply a must win game.

I'm sure Pogba knows it very well being part of our academy. I think Ibra realises the importance at least. Our arguably 2 most important players right now, so hopefully they can give us that extra dimension.

Even if we smash this lot we'll still be 6th, unless Everton smash City by 4 goals
6th is immaterial at this stage...it's the points that matter. Remember how far off we were last month. Now we were only 3 points off 3rd before the games today. That's a hell of a comeback!

Just one or two games to swing either way and we're really right back in it, especially considering the games to be played this month. I'm not too perturbed by lack of physical movement just yet.

I was just taking the piss a bit. It's become a sort of running joke.

Think with the form we are in and our comparatively easy fixtures across all competition, we can even extend our winning run until City away on Feb 26th if we get pass the Scousers today. However, the title chase is still a tall order unless the Chavs fall apart.

    Yeah this.
A loss tomorrow to the dippers would be hard to stomach but not the end of the world because there are many more wins in our future. I think we're only gonna get better. With a win though, and the relatively soft fixture list there'll be a lot of concern in the minds of those currently above us.

    Keep the Faith,

City away will be delayed if we win the league cup semi final

If the title IS beyond our reach this year, considering the start that the Berties had when their 'Messiah' arrived, it would be great to finish above them and shut them up.

Can't wait for tomorrow. It's always a huge one anyway but in the context of our season it could prove to be a defining point as well. We've got the ability in the team and we've shown we can create chances; the way both challenge and defend as a team will determine the outcome IMO. If you win those 50/50's you won't be far short in these games and that's a mental thing.

Forget everything else though, this is what football is all about for me: the excitement, the nerves, the anticipation. It's about going the game with your mates and feeling those emotions. Strip it all bare and these fixtures highlight why we all fell in love with it.

Should be a great atmosphere, let's go!

Feel so xcited, it's gonna be a game with few goals but great energy input form both sides. As always in these fixtures the hometeam is going to be a favourite but we will see I am sure in this form we can smahs liverpool quite easily with a bit of luck but it's going to be tough no doubt about that..

I think Klopp will solidify his midfield (Henderson, Wijnauldum, Can) with Lallana moving to the flanks and Origi leading the line. But we should be concentrating on our game and looking to attack them, as there are goals to be scored against their defence and we need to win.

I'm always bricking it when we play Liverpool, but having said that we're probably in the best position we could possibly be in going into this match.

9 won on the trot, unbeaten in 15 and for the first time since SAF left, I see and feel a real sense of direction and purpose in our performances, a world away from the last 3 years where we've appeared to just be going through the motions on a match by match basis.

Mourning is clearly building an "us against the world" mentality and it's the first time since we had the likes of Vidic, Ferdinand etc at the club that we've players in the team with a real force of personality and leadership.

Already beat Spurs at home, if we beat this lot tomorrow we could be very difficult to stop for the rest of the season.

Finish work at 5p.m, straight home, do a training session, get so tired that nervousness won't be felt at all alone, order some food and enjoy the match (which starts at 7p.m here).

Can't sleep here, feel like I'm playing tomorrow. The difference between winning and losing is so big, huge. They could be down to 6th with ourselves, Spurs and Arsenal on such good runs.

He's a shit referee but not the worst.
Really feel like there's a game ruining red card in him either way and the easiest way in regards to potential back lash is against United.

He's been criticised recently for not getting a grip on games with an early card. So expect the first meaty challenge to be a yellow and a player to be treading on thin ice from the 2-10 minute mark onward.

Woke up at 7am, it's matchday and I'm nervous as hell.

Not sure whether I love or truly hate the build up to these games.

In think that Klopp will set up very similar to how we played away at City last season. Obviously we won't have Skrtel on to score a beauty but Coutinho, Lallana and Firmino all up front will keep your defence busy whilst we worry about how to deal with Zlatan and Co.
Love and hate these games in equal measure and the build up to them is horrendous. Almost want to fast forward to 6pm so I can see the final score and be able to relax

I reckon we'll win 1 or 2 nil. Mou loves a 1-0 in a clash with a big rival, but I hope we can make it a bit easier by grabbing the second goal. Mourinho also hates the scousers and they hate him so winning this one will mean as much to him as it does us fans. :)

It's annoying that I love United having this effect on me once again, missed it for years.
