Mata, Valencia and Bailly are great.
The whole side was a little sloppy as usual, we should've scored the second, at least. Martial showed some spirit, even though his dribbling is off today

Playing like Mourinho's Madrid, fast breaks and few passes before taking a shot.

Superb football but how many fecking wasted chances yet again.

Everyone is a culprit but Ibra has been very poor today. Would like to see Rashford take his place and really put out our paciest side!

We have wasted so many chances. This game should be dead.

Yeah because it's a weird thing so say. Must have missed some of his passing in the first half. Fantastic bit of play.
I must have missed them with all the stray passes and attempted flicks he's gone for that didn't come off. He does it every game. He may pull out a pass here and there, which tbh you'd expect with the mount of stuff he tries, but the majority of his passing is pish.

Valencia and Mata have been immense.. Bailly, Mkhi and Herrera solid as feck but Pogba has played a really subtle yet astute performance today. His little turns and efficient use of the ball aren't eye catching but really effective at ensuring we've kept going forwards and maintaining that sustained forward momentum with our possession.

If he could do this against a better level of opponent then we can start looking at buying attacking mids etc.

We need a striker with a better conversion rate. Zlatan is great but he misses too many chances too often and he's missing from the penalty box when he should be scoring tap-ins.

Stunning performance so far but shocking return from those chances. No excuse not to be 3-0 up. Ibra especially at fault.

Herrera, Mata, Bailly, Smalling, Valencia and Blind all putting in an incredible shift. Pogba, Martial and Mkhitaryan all playing well too. But almost everyone guilty of fluffing at least one good chance.

Totally different side when we play at pace.
That's why Valencia, Martial and Mkhitaryan should always start (imo). They play direct and at speed. It ups the tempo of all around. Herrera too, with his quick one/two passing, forces Pogba to play quicker.

Carrick was immense for us earlier in the season, but I don't think we need him for most games now. Our best players are comfortable playing with each other, and our backline is much more solid, despite Rojo/Jones being swapped out for Bailly/Smalling and Blind making irregular appearances at LB.

That's a Jose trademark, which is an excellent sign.

Problem is take out Zlatan and 75 percent of those chances don't occur, his work outside the box is criminally underrated.

This has to be one of our best halfs this season. Such a joy to watch. We could have easily scored 3-4 more goals.

It's not just the speed of the play that's been great, it's the competitiveness we've shown to win the ball back. Typified by Herrera and Bailly.

Ibra finishing and passing is off. A striker like Auba ahead of the likes of MMM is going to be

Yeah I agree. The problem all season has been our finishing. Scary to think where we would be if we took our opportunities against the likes of Stoke and Burnley etc at home.
At least it's positive to play well and create chances. Worst feeling is to not create chances at all.

We're absolutely battering them! Hope it stays like this, I'm enjoying this like I haven't enjoyed a game in Cantona knows how long. Plus the missus is away for the weekend and I've got a fridge full of beer :D Just perfect.

Hope we score a second soon though, just to put this beyond doubt.

Good performance, should be up more but at least we scored. Zlatan is infuriating to watch, playing on the wing. Get your big nose in the box. Missed so many chances at old Trafford this year. He's actually been better on the road.

Herrera and Mata have been fantastic, Pogba is doing really well, Valencia's driving us forward brilliantly although his final ball isn't always great and Martial is looking lively and sharp.

Ibra had been poor but he's always likely to pop up with a goal in the second half.
