Nonchalantly scoring the winner...
how do you mean?

Wouldn't affect City's pulling power signing players without CL footie, done it before and will do it again if it comes to it.

You say United are dominant but you're on a long unbeaten run and are still outside the CL places, I wouldn't get so cocky yet, plenty of time for United's wheels to come off. Just a few weeks ago it was all doom and gloom in here after the draw with Hull.
Do you think Zlatan or Pogba would go to City with no CL footy for the same wages they get at United...?

I was responding to the point in the post 'players like' but to answer your point probably not Pogba as her was one of yours anyway, but if we offered some 35 year old £300k then yeah I think they would come

Its weird but some United fans are acting like your in some kind of amazing form compared to the rest of the Top 6 but in reality despite being unbeaten your not.

Since you went to 6th in week 11 you've picked up 30 points, in that time Chelsea have picked up 35, Spurs 29, City 28 (not bad as most people were considering Pep was a failure during that time), Arsenal 26 and admittedly Liverpool only 23. So Liverpool aside your form hasn't been that much better than of the others.

Your form over the last 6 is worse than City's 13 points to 12, Chelsea and Spurs both have 11, Arsenal 10 and again only Liverpool are struggling with 6.
You also have along with City the most difficult run of the top 6 to go.

Unbeaten since October and well placed in every cup competition in the middle of February.
What's good form huh? Only the run away leaders have more points but hey ho we're overreacting

Wouldn't bank on anything right now.

We just have to hope our form maintains until the end of the season (a defeat or two permitting).

As opposed to a City team you said would finish closer to Everton than you guys who you've got only 2 points more than in all those unbeaten games.
Also I never said your not in good form I said some of you guys believe your in amazing form compared to the rest of the top 6, which you aren't.

 owned.

City and Liverpool fans in here are acting pathetic.

The fact is, a few months back both of them thought they were challenging for a title and United were struggling. Now they're both in a 5 way race for top 4 with United looking dominant and cruising in Europe on our way to Wembley, and they're scared, and rightly so, because if either one of those clubs missed out on CL football it will (or 'would' @Gentleman Jim ) seriously dent their pulling power. They won't be signing players like Pogba, Zlatan or ADM without CL football like we do.

In Liverpool's case, without CL footy, and in a league with United, Chelsea, Arse, Spuds and City, they're at best the 6th most desirable destination for players...

Think of it like that and start to see Klopp and Guardiola are so increasingly twitchy!
Delusional much.

"Dominant" "Cruising in Europe" are you serious? Fine words but no substance behind them.
St Etienne had you pooping your pants and silenced your stadium last night.
More composure in front of goal and more savvy refereeing would have resulted in a very tricky 2nd Leg but the tie is now a formality. This doesn't, however, detract from the fact that United got very lucky last night.

Not particularly scared that United will overtake us either. You may scrape Top 4 due to the poor form of Arsenal and Liverpool but it looked like that last season and you didn't quite make it. Both the above teams will have much more friendly ends to the season than you so to make up further ground on them is no formality.

We'll sign our key targets at the end of the season with or without CL don't you worry about that and next season you won't see us for dust.

You are and thats good form but 2 points on a team over 14 games, is that amazing form compared to struggling City who are going to finish closer to Everton? Your form is good but so is the form of 4 of the 5 teams around you, 6 of 7 if you include Everton who are the prem's form team and have closed the gap on you over the last 6.

They didn't get a single shot on target compared to our 8 and we had 62% possession. Old Trafford sounded better than it has in a long time but you see whatever makes you happy :)

Plenty of time for the wheels to come off of all teams ahead of us too. In fact, Arsenal and Liverpool have been struggling while City aren't really setting the world alight and have just lost the player which gave them some impetus.

As for being outside the top 4, we are 4 points off second. All it takes is one weekend and this conversation would be hilarious.

Seems like you were seeing a re-run of [pick any match] at the Etihad. Need to concentrate better I would say that the home team was donning the proud red not the crappy blue.

Ill go back and find 100 posts from rival fans lecturing us that we were deluded when we told you all that our results wasn't reflecting our performances. That as soon as attacking play started to gel in the final third we would be right up there with the rest of the top 4.
It all happened. Even our points total from all these fecking games doesn't reflect our performances. We have proven to be neigh on impossible to beat for 4 months and counting. We have found a formation that allows Mikhi and Pogba to play at their best, our best defender is back which sees us keeping 5 clean sheets in a row and our top goal scorer from last year is almost back to his best on the left hand side.
We don't struggle in games in the sense of getting overran by the opposition or rely on DDG to get us out of trouble. When we drop points it tends to be when our players are missing easy chance after easy chance rather than getting nullified by the opposition.

Hence why I stated that their lack of composure in front of goal cost them dearly.
Possession stats are all very well but there are many recent examples of teams with way less than 50% coming away with a win or draw. City have fallen victim to this many times this season.

Indeed, you could well be 7 points off second and 4 ahead of 7th :) or 1 off second and 10 off 7th.

Why are these excuses ok for United but not the other. I can count 3 games where City were outplayed this season Spurs away, Everton away and Leicester and a couple of dodgy halves in other games' were of our own making but only United are allowed say results didn't match performances, at your current super form vs our struggling one you will need just 30 more games to make 4 points on us.

Why do all of these City, Spurs and Liverpool fans sign up to this place to tell us all how crap they think Utd are? It's weird.

We are doing very well at the moment and we're playing some lovely stuff at times too

Beat your chest and shout your slogans. Fact is they silenced your crowd until your second goal gave you a sense of relief with their great support despite being outnumbered about 8 to 1.

Am I wrong?

Even weirder that they all unite together to shit on United and defend each other's clubs too, that's really odd IMO.

I'm sure there are many examples of that but I also distinctly remember many opposition fans (myself included) not really understanding the mass hysteria on here when you were only single figure number of points away from the top 4. A lot of the criticism, the thinking that Man Utd were out of the race didn't really seem to be coming from opposition fans form what I remember?

Because City have had many games where you have played like shit this season. Performance wise our results tend to be more comfortable, we need to create 2 great chances to score one so when we win we've needed to pepper the opposition goal.
City have had plenty of games where you have played like shit and won. A lot more games when the opposition came back at you for 45 mins.
Lets not pretend you've been playing consistently well now, your back 3 experiments have been hilarious to witness.

Yes you are and I've acknowledged it in previous posts but you just can't resist the overhype and trashing other clubs and fans when you are in such good form.
Should we meekly accept it?
Do you want the Caf just to consist of United fans only? This forum's better than that.

They wouldn't be here if we were top of the league winning every trophy in sight like the Fergie days. It's no coincidence most of them joined or got active after Fergie retired. There's good opposistion fans on here but some of them are fecking awful.
You weren't here in the Good Old Fergie days either. Dec 2012 joiner

Fair enough. I've always said its a bit of a fool's game predicting anything in football with such certainty but people will carry on doing it anyway and people will persistently get egg on their face.

I don't see how anyone can look at the Top 6 (minus Chelsea) and say with certainty that any of those teams will be in the top come the end of the season.

Indeed but we drew 1-1 against Everton with a back 3 and Koeman called us the best side he's ever seen. And yes in many games with a back 3 we've played very well and just didn't take our chances, but that excuse only applie to United. When we've played like shit we've still been the better side. Also I can count the amount of times we've blown chances just like you guys and ended up dropping points, Spurs at home, Chelsea at home, Everton at home (where we missed 2 penalties). Not to mention Middleboro. Had we taken them alone we'd be above Chelsea, but we didn't and those teams got results in the end but only United are allowed that excuse right?

"Hilarious" lol, amazing Man United make up 2 points on Hilarious City over 14 games. Your logic is astounding. Amazing your way to 4 points behind us after 25 games. What I'd call hilarious is an amazing team who have only scored 39 goals this season are currently 4 points behind City who you said will finish closer to Everton than you.

You have absolute bias against anything City and it comes out as rubbish. We've got more points than you on merit, we've scored more goals than you and over the course of the season so far we've been better than you on merit. We've also go marginally better form over the last 6 games.

I always posted you guys were better than your results btw if you read my posts on United but the difference is I will look at United and judge them without the hate, bias and rubbish that some of you guys use for City. But the bottom line is your form isn't amazing in comparsion to 6 of the top 7, its marginally better than 5 of them and thats using a United specific time line.
In recent form (last 6 games which is what most sites use) City and Everton have been better on merit, and since the start of the season the 5 teams above you deserve to be there.

I agree with this. I'm confident City will finish in the top 4, but I wouldn't argue for it as a certainty. It's a very tight race, which is why there's lots of handbags in here. It's a valid point on both sides that United fans are taking confidence from a good unbeaten run, and rival fans are pointing out they're still 6th.

If you wanted to, you could make an arguable case for just about any side not making the top 4 at the moment, and someone else would have something to say about it. Arsenal fans turning on the manager, Liverpool have crumbled since Xmas, Spurs 2 wins in their last 6, City's reliance on Aguero staying fit now, and United's league position combined with tough fixtures. Everton for top four.

So your posting a video of a frustrated manager after 1 game because you have no answers for anything I posted.... Prove one of the things I've said wrong.
