I hope you are right but I really think missing out on top 4 again this season could be a turning point that stops us attracting the very top talent we need to push on. Hope I'm wrong.
It can be a problem but we're still loaded with money so for a year or 2 I think we'll still attract big names CL or not.
But if the crisis goes on it will be a problem in that regard and everything will go downhill.

Prior to the depression this result has induced i was of the same mind. With some additional attacking talent we'd be be turning a number of these draws into wins. We'll get there.
I'm kind of not fussed by this result. The whole home draws thing has become a self-perpetuating madness to the extent this result felt inevitable. We're still dominating games, though, and generally look like a strong team. I mean we hit the fecking woodwork twice tonight and had another goal incorrectly disallowed. We're dropping stupid points all over the place but it's nothing like the hopeless, toothless crap of last season and you can't ignore how hard we are to beat. We've fecked our league campaign, though. Which is a pity.

Could be that next season will be make or break then. There will be a tipping point when the top players start saying we aren't worth the risk anymore however much money we have.

The most worrying thing for me is how unmotivated and frustrated the players seem at times. All it takes is for us to miss top 4 and for a few of them to think they can do much better - which they probably can. We need to get players like Mkhi, Pogba, Martial etc playing much better, and I don't think Mou is managing them that well.

Of course the two scrotes Jagielka and Willaims turned into peak Baresi and Cannavaro against us. Likewise the toad Idrjizza Gay Ghana suddenly decided to channel his inner Makalele.

So feking annoyesd of seeing this game raisnsing twats at OT.

I am off to drink more...feck this.
To be honest, Gueye was awful from start to finish, did a hideous job of breaking down our attacks.

Well we're in luck. I think 6 out of 9 of them are!

As @Bilbo said yesterday, since the Chelsea game we've dominated pretty much every team we've played. I thought we were crap in the first half but by far the better team overall. Our home record is getting stupid but I'm weirdly unbothered. You can see that we're very close to being a proper team. I'm stlll confident we're capable of turning all these dominance into a shitload of points. Although it may not happen until next season. Ho hum.

Yea, it all feels too blasé, same boring broken record of struggling to convert chances, it feels like this campaign needs to hurry up and end so we can restock and go again, with a few clever additions we will be winning the majority of these games.

Not even kidding here how much could it be to just buy 51% of Monaco. 200 million?
What's the point of buying talented players if the manager still insists on playing Fellaini and not creating a set up to get the best out of our attackers? It'd just be a waste of money.

We played like absolute garbage tonight. Everyone seems to be 1 yard off the pace, 1 second behind when they should be playing balls, it was painful to watch, really unhappy with the team tonight, but there were chances that should have stood.

The BBC punditry is a bit of a joke. Leon Osman and Mark Lawrenson both saying Everton should have both won they game, despite Ibra's goal being ruled out when he was onside. Give me a break.

On to Sunderland though, where their keeper, whoever he is (can't be bothered looking it up), will play an absolute stormer.

Bloody good post.

We will be fine. Jose knows what he is doing. I can't wait to see the back of a few players though.

Didn't think we were bad in the second half and as many times before we should have won that.
It's like some watch entirely different games. Heck, some poster even compared us to a none league team

Rojo was ultimately shit. If he had more cojones, Jaglieka wouldn't have scored. He was too lazy & was waiting for De Gea to make clearance for him.

Bailly was the MVP today, he literally murdered Lukaku with every known defensive trick tonight. Everything Lukaku threw at Eric, he handled them brilliantly.
Jagielkas goal was more Fellainis fault and it was extremely lucky by Jagielka. I can't believe you are of the opinion that he was ultimately shit. I think apart from the incident when Lukaku was 1 one 1 with DDG and Bailly made that tackle, he was excellent. Contained Lukaku, broke up their play countless times, positioned himself well and did all the right things generally.

Good spectacle, played with urgency in the second half, missed far too many good chances, linesman's error cost us the win. Bailly man of the match, easily. Minimal chance of top 4 now and it's down to the Europa.

Start with De Gea - valencia.Bailiy-Rojo-Shaw- Herrera.Pogba-Rashford-Miki-Martial-Ibra and start to play some prober football. Fellaini should never have worn a United jersey and what on earth managers see in him baffles me. He can not move and is dead slow, does not have an eye for pass, does not assist, does not score and even though he is bigger than most players he´s hardly creating any danger at set play´s either. Hoof it forward is not the United way and having Ibra and Fellaini upfront will never work.
Think he kisses ass:lol: Teacher's pet our Fellaini:D

Seriously though, you can barely blame him. He really tries, but he just doesn't have the tools. More fool all our managers for playing him anyway. Felli can hardly say no eh?

Players let the frustration kicks in too easy.
Players lacking confidence.
The likes of Rashford and Lingard can use only as subs at max.
Fellaini,Young,Blind needs to go.
The players Jose bought doing great, Bailly is a beast, Pogba needs better luck, Zlatan is Zlatan, and Mikhi needs to improve and raise his confidance.
Jose must have got a very busy summer ahead we still need a striker, winger, a replacement for Carrick, and a CB.
Yes Jose needs time.
Top four hopes are almost gone IMO, we better win the E.L. It's so sad what we have become, top four is our high hopes now that's really depressing.

We deserved at least a point.

Massive improvement defensively from you lot though considering the Derby display.
I know but after the derby defeat and then to concede a 94th minute equaliser. Shits hard to take.

Williams , Barry and especially Jagielka where great.

Didnt manage to see the game as I went to a birthday meal tonight (not mine) but had BBC on my phone. I thought we had lost it but at the death the penalty. Read some of the comments on here and obviously somethings fundamentally wrong why we cant score a goal. Liverpool turn over Everton, and Watford beat the Baggies with ten men. We manage a penalty in 180+ minutes, I know there was a goal ruled out for offside. Is Rashford Martial a one one season wonder? Is Fellaini Lingard Blind Carrick Herrera Miki even Pogba good enough for our aims? The defence as a unit overall is ok so not going to mention them.

The way we play is becoming increasingly worrying, i'd say. 4th season of absolutely dreadful football. Now, don't get me wrong, when Mourinho was announced as our manager I wasn't expecting us to play like Barcelona in their prime, but I wanted a change in the urgency in our play. Instead it is another season in which we are strolling in majority of games, and have absolutely no idea on how to break opponents that are sitting deep. With all due respect to Mourinho, but in most of the games (against minnows) his tactics were simply wrong, and this is not what I expected from a manager of his caliber, and knowledge of football. There is no passion in our style of play, absolutely no cohesion (misplaced passes, players running in too late, too early or not running into the spaces at all, especially in the penalty box), and our set pieces are non-existent. On top of that we are physically inferior, and it was incredibly visible during today's game vs. Everton. Those forwards were tormenting our defence with their pace and 'freshness' (not to mention Gareth Barry who was looking fresh in the 80th or so minute, and Phil Jagielka). It makes me wonder what do these footballers do in training? I mean come on, you are training almost day in, day out for a few hours straight, and there are no results whatsoever? I am really curious as to what is happening during the training sessions that these players simply do not perform to their ability in the games.

Starting with Fellaini and Lingard in our attack and keeping Martial and Mkhitaryan on the bench is a strange decision for any team, stranger still for a team that struggles with creating and scoring goals. Bringing Pogba on and changing the whole team and shape around including moving Herrera to fullback but keeping Fellaini and Lingard on when Pogba on, Fellaini seemed the obvious change was baffling also.

When you start two homes games with players like Fellaini and Lingard and play them the full 90 in both, you shouldn't really be surprised when you draw twice and score no goals form open play. This madness has to stop.

Be grateful.

Wrong decision offside, Gana, Joel and Barry could have all been sent off too...

You got off lightly ;)

Can't wait for this season to end and get some actual talented attackers in, we need wide men, rashford needs to play from the bench, lingard needs to not play in fact anyone who plays an attacking role for the club needs to play for their united careers from now until the end of the season.

It's scary just how average our attackers are

My worry is will Jose stick around with this shit?

He isn't great at managing his temper when under pressure and it can seriously effect the club.

I feel for him because the players are letting him and all of us down

If you think our current attacking options are average, then you will think the same of whoever we buy after they fail to produce 12 months from now.

I'm with you. Massively frustrated especially during games, but always on reflection I think we're a quality side, who are just finishing significantly fewer than an average number of chances and it's telling. Defence is very good, ball retention is too, we create a good number of chances, and it's difficult to highlight obvious areas to dramatically improve the side. I'd like another centre forward in the summer, but apart from that I'd rather back the players to come good.

Whether the finishing is just variation or something else is up for debate. I still think the first is the biggest factor, but I think our shooting routine during the warm up is symptomatic of our performance in games. Getting the ball over the line is the most important thing in football and we are way too casual about this facet of the game. Got to be accountability there and just blazing chances high, wide and at the keeper during the warm up shouldn't be acceptable. I feel like I am the only person who notices this though.
