He does what it takes to win. We can't deny it's been an underwhelming season by his standards and we've still won 2 cups and gotten back into CL. He's a serial winner and always will be.

Seriously though. A few years ago I didn't want him. Thought he was a twat and would feck up the club. Moyes joined and the rest is history.

This is the best I've felt about the club in so long. I feel like there's something growing here and I think Mourinho is key to it and I think he's going to take us places. Delighted with him. We haven't had everything our way this year but the signs are there and we've done what we've had to to get where we deserve to be.

I'm feeling happy and emotional so I'm gonna give Jose some credit

Our two best performances since Fergie retired.

Beating Chelsea at home, which for me had everything

And tonight, but for different performance. Perfection in tactical setup and defence. But also the unbelievable pressure before Monday that we simply had to win, and after Monday for obvious reasons

Bumping this up because that daft LVG foundations thread shouldn't be higher than this one.

So happy for Mourinho. I think he can be anointed as a Mancunian tonight for inspiring the team to win a game that meant so much on so many levels. At least for a few moment's may provide some momentary cheer to a city in distress: he could certainly do no more.

He can return to Manchester tomorrow with a trophy and the delivery of progress to all Manchester United fans. He now a platform from which to build, has earned trust from his employers and fans for his methods and approach.

I really think we are finally on our way to a post SAF revolution.

Cheers Jose, 2 trophies from 4 competitions is a good innings. The league effort was shocking, but that's something that can, and will, be improved upon.

Onwards and MASSIVELY upwards for us, lads. MASSIVELY.

'Uck these pricks off who are slating us, we are coming back - make no mistake.

The last months league performances have annoyed the shit out of me but tonight's result has vindicated his decision to give up on the league.

He can't be blamed for that run of draws at home. Our attackers should have put the chances away.

Hopefully we'll buy well this summer and look a completely different team in attack.

I wish he could always be like he was after the final whistle tonight.

2 trophies out of 4 is a very good return.

Love him or hate him, there's no denying the man was born to win. His will to win is just like Ferguson's.

I love him, the true heir to sir alex.

I will be happy with just the premier league next season but i know he won't, that's what i love.

When we won the league cup he didn't celebrate and everyone debated why he didn't celebrate.
Tonight showed why, it was because he had bigger things on his mind.

We have now completed the set of all the trophy's we can win, thank you Jose.

Fact is, Mourinho is a winner. He should have replaced SAF when he retired rather than feckin about with small fry like Moyes or dinosaurs like van Gaal. Very sweet tonight.

How would we rate this season for him then? I'd imagine the expectation was to get back into the champs league, which we've done whilst winning two trophies.

The foundations are there though. We are hard to beat, if we are more clinical next year I think we will challenge for the title.

it all came down to tonight really. It can only be seen as a massive success. Long may it continue. LOVED his passion tonight after we won. PLUS we got to see him smile! :D
