Unpopular opinion here, I do not want us to sign Silva, I don't think he's any different from Mata. Both in his offence and defense capacity. I think some people need to remind themselves what sort of year Mata had before mourinho joined Chelsea to realise this

I don't disagree. Having said that, it is trivially easy to find 40+ attacking players in Europe's top 5 leagues who dribble more frequently and with better completion rates. Silva has other qualities besides dribbling ability though, of course, but there are a lot of options.

I don't think there are many players out there with Bernardo's close control and change of direction when running with the ball, at least not at clubs we can buy from.

I wouldnt have an issue with him staying for another year at Monaco, but if he wants a move, and we wouldnt be challenging for him, i would be pissed off. I would give us the best chances of securing his services. I have hopes of him arriving here, not only because of him being the best Portuguese player behind Ronaldo and Mendes his agent, but he fits the bill on and off the pitch. He is on the verge of stardom and someone we should be targeting and if we did a background check on him, he would fit the bill. He could be a club target like Herrera was. He has a bit of Herrera in his personality too, someone who just loves football and someone that Mourinho could trust and nurture.

What would we do with Griezmann and James. They play exactly in the same position.

We'll end up with neither, they're more likely to go with Bernardo to City. All the press have said City are close to completing the deal for Fabinho and we'll stick with Shaw and integrate Mitchell into the fold.
