He would fit City to a tee. Would fit in better for them than he would for us.

Might be true considering Silva is getting on a bit and also is injury prone.

Besides Pep never can get enough AM's.

they have that now, just change Bernado for David.
Replacing them is a good idea, since David is getting old and playing a bit more defensively than years ago.

I can't see it.
People are on about us not needing him.
City are even in less of a need for him.
Pep loves his midfielders. I could bet on them being, at least, interested in him. If they go ahead and get him is a different matter.

Someone summed it up perfectly in this thread yesterday. They said something like - Silva is the type of player we will spend ages debating if he's any good, and then City will sign him and he'll be a top signing...

Unpopular opinion here, I do not want us to sign Silva, I don't think he's any different from Mata. Both in his offence and defense capacity. I think some people need to remind themselves what sort of year Mata had before mourinho joined Chelsea to realise this :)

I don't disagree. Having said that, it is trivially easy to find 40+ attacking players in Europe's top 5 leagues who dribble more frequently and with better completion rates. Silva has other qualities besides dribbling ability though, of course, but there are a lot of options.
I don't think there are many players out there with Bernardo's close control and change of direction when running with the ball, at least not at clubs we can buy from.

I've suddenly started wanted him a whole lot more, those cnuts have enough forwards.

To be honest though David Silva is in decline, so he could be seen as his replacement.

I wouldnt have an issue with him staying for another year at Monaco, but if he wants a move, and we wouldnt be challenging for him, i would be pissed off. I would give us the best chances of securing his services. I have hopes of him arriving here, not only because of him being the best Portuguese player behind Ronaldo and Mendes his agent, but he fits the bill on and off the pitch. He is on the verge of stardom and someone we should be targeting and if we did a background check on him, he would fit the bill. He could be a club target like Herrera was. He has a bit of Herrera in his personality too, someone who just loves football and someone that Mourinho could trust and nurture.

Really hope we sign this guy. I've wanted us to sign a player like this for a long while. Someone with a low centre of gravity who leaves defenders in knots with his quality in close spaces. This potential signing is the one I find most intriguing.

Shame if he goes to city.

Would be gutted if he went to City. This guy is Ballon d'or potential. For all the plaudits Mbappe is getting, Silva is just as special imo. His control is unbelievable.

I think people's opinion of him on here tends to be based on how he was for their FM team, which if everyones honest is the only way any of us know of him or how he plays

Now you know why the flurry of bets on him to join manchester city happened.

How will they even line up with the players they have. Aguero, Jesus, Sane, Sterling, De Bruyne and now 2 Silvas.

This feels like Jorge Mendes shoving James Rodriguez down our throat which would've led to Bernardo moving to city.

Would obviously be a good signing for them but seems a bit overkill, although I guess somebody could leave. Maybe Aguero?

They're really going to spend big this summer, even their bench warmers are going to be top notch after they released 4 players already.

It's going to be a mad summer.

As much as I love this guy and want him, I actually think José would utilise James better.

What would we do with Griezmann and James. They play exactly in the same position.
