The last 15 overs of that innings had some of the most bizzarre cricket I have ever seen , I can see that the bowling was good and this pitch seems slow but the batting made absolutely no sense to me. Surely at some point England needed to understand that getting 230-240 was enough and needed to bat for it .

Knew this would happen as soon as everyone started jinxing us by saying we'll thrash these. It's by no means over but it's not looking good at the moment.

Lack of experience and direction I reckon. They've mostly played on flat pitches where big scores are necessary, but also their approach to trouble is to blast their way out of it which has cost us in Test Cricket too.

I'm not sure 211 is that much short of a good score here, Pakistan will have to bat well.

50/50 imo. 250 would be par score but this is a tricky target for this self-destructive lineup. PAK would have lost both the previous games if Fakhar didn't get off to a flyer so if he falls early then ENG are favourites.

managing Charlton.
Definitely think it will be a tough chase. England should not allow Pakistan to start quickly. Not letting Fakhar get quick runs will be key and get him out early.

Solid start. One wicket can change things though with the mentality of our middle-order.

Considering the pitch, I think Rashid and Ali will be the ones to trouble Pakistanis.

Not that surprising. Pakistan always do well when their backs are to the wall and they're under pressure, after the India defeat backlash.

Whereas England always underperform in 50 over tournaments, especially when expectations are high.

This is set up for a comfortable India win over Pakistan in the final.

Brilliant stuff from Pakistan. They are one weird side. Don't think we should be too disappointed as England fans. We've been in good form and made lots of progress since the last world cup. Always thought the favourites tag we were given looked optimistic considering our record on odi tournaments.

Seriously ? If I supported England I would be absolutely livid right now. What is the point of playing good cricket if you choke in the big matches. This is going to be an absolutely embarrassing loss at home against a bang average team

Agreed. Absolutely no silver lining to this other than it will bring the squad down to earth and make them realise it takes something between the ears to win things at tournament level.

Pakistan's bowling attack is pretty decent. They're one of the only sides I've seen get lateral movement in the middle overs from the seamers.

Dafuq is this smh. The England side is no way near as talented as made out, ultra flakey. Only Super Joey is elite. I don't get the Stokes hype at all really, he gets banged easily as a bowler.

Sharjeel got done for match fixing hopefully we won't see him again.

Looks like there is going to be another chapter added to the most one sided rivalry in sport.

Bairstow, Root, Morgan & Stokes faced 230 deliveries that was more than enough to post a decent total

Pakistan innings just makes Stokes batting performance look even more bizarre

Oh yeah I thought it was a mild case.

Every single player who comes up seems to be getting caught in spot fixing or getting reported for their action.
