Tbh Cameroon is playing better than I expected, good individual players, as a team remains to be seen in the next matches.

It seems like this thread is full of celebrations being prioritized over correct decisions
You'll change your mind as soon as your team scores a goal. It completely ruins it.

I'd rather lose with an offside goal than having the current implementation of VAR.

Fai Collins letting Vidal run past him there. Great movement and heading technique by Vidal it has to be said!

Great ball and good run.

The speed of the Cameroon right winger is ridiculous.

But is really taking that aspect of the game out, if last year I had to wait to celebrate Eder's goal for a minute I think I would die.
I'm more concerned with taking wrongly allowed goals out of the game.

No... no I won't. I'm rather used to it.

What is this additional time? +4 mins, goal replay took easily a minute, yet the ref whistles at 93:24? :P

Cameroon fought well and bravely but in the end Chile won deservedly. Great game of football!

Fair enough, all the VAR decisions were right today, cannot believe the level of moaning about right decisions being taken, the schock, the horror, the tragedy

It needs to be an immediate call and it needs to be immediatly told to the people in the stadium and to the people at home. It will kill the game otherwise as you won't be able to celebrate a goal anymore and at the same time it won't end controversy as it's the ref that decides when to use or when not to use it. Cameroon could/should have been 1-0 up in this game for example for this:

The ref should have waited after the foul on Vidal, Cameroon would have scored and then he should have called for the technology. This is just the Confederations Cup, as soon as it starts happening around Europe next season I'm pretty sure most fans will turn on it. Imagine United scoring a winner in the last minute at Anfield and the agony of having to wait a minute to find out if it ws validated.

How can it take so long for such easy decisions?
