Thats just stupid IMO
Either let him in on the list and allow him to play some way or another or keep him in the shadow...he cant do both.

WTF! How is anto doing anything affecting the draft? He isn't playing.
It was announced on the thread mate. I mentioned it was an arse that I couldn't win jackpots but suffered the effect of cards same as everyone else.

I thought of it just now. Having shadow player influencing the real draft, is right my kind of thinking. So going forward, you're on.
So Skizzo making me drop my WC winner affects the dropped list.

I cannot be remotely arsed about what you get or don't given you decided not to play this draft, and why anything you do in your imaginary team should ever affect the rest who are actually playing. Makes no sense whatsoever.

We have this issue with shadow drafting everytime.

My take on it is that it wouldn't be too bad if it was announced at the start. Playing a monopoly draft it was inevitable that you would need to drop a player at some point. Would have been fine if everyone knew when it happened that the player would be added to the blocked list. As it is no one was expecting it so it's a bit crap.

@Edgar Allan Pillow can do what he wants with his draft, obviously, but this doesn't make any sense. Either include anto in the draft (and somehow get rid of the overlaps that already exist), or keep him separated, as he should be anyway.

Unless we are in Peter Pan's universe where shadows can actively influence real life.

EAP just likes the idea of more players getting blocked/dropped as a result of cards. Nothing extraordinary or game-changing, just a player that probably should have been blocked to begin with no longer being available.

Deal with it.

He would, but he doesn't have any time to play, can't be arsed with the games or anything, but wait, he still needs to play, have a team without actually have to ever play a match and make sure everything that happens should favour this imaginary wankfest.

What an absolute pest.

Dude, relax. Whatcha getting hyper for?

It was my idea and decision to include what he was doing via PM. His Shadow drafting didn't affect no one till I made it so.

Don't really get the outrage here. As I said I'm experimenting a shadow draft idea and needed to see how things work in certain cases.

Peace out.

Full inclusion would mean more managers removing players from a pool. I just about missed out, others also, but if you start having 20+ managers 1. Progress is slower, 2. There's more competition for the same pool. It clearly does impact the draft more drastically, while this is simply one chap getting blocked in an all-time pool.

With the number of people interested in drafts we definitely should be exploring formats that allow for more participants without completely ruining the flow.

We could effectively have up to 32 managers (16 + their shadows) and progress at the same rate. The shadow managers have it a bit harder (all other 31 managers withdraw players from the pool, while live thread managers only care for the other 15) but that may actually make it better for games with huge pools. Those with limited/obscure or highly restricted pools rarely attract so many managers.

Personally I'm not too fussed if Nesta is blocked or not. Just another player on the block list. I'm more worries about us having possibly 2 usable players after the injury round after 5 picks or so.

The day I start making sense in a draft is the day I stop playing. :nervous: I need to.post my Bush laugh gif now.

Peter Pan universe has rules. EAP drafts have none.

It's just some more blocks and Anto playing some cards on my behalf.

Nothing that really affects dynamics of the players except for having less GOATs which is ok.

There's two future scenarios:

1) Shadowers not playing games and doing it for the fun of getting to grips with it all (a trial/demo basis for those unsure about time they can commit).

2) Shadowers actually playing off against those they shadow (with the disadvantage of drafting with a more restricted pool, which actually equates to a pro level for the likes of @Gio not handing you all your arse on a plate every month).

For now we are only really doing 1 but gradually starting to explore how 2 could work.

Let's have a look at the real issue here for a second.

@RedTiger could have picked Redondo earlier but instead went for Ruggeri?
I was baffled. He could pick pretty much anyone (I picked Nesta and only discarded the likes of Redondo because he didn't quite fly with Davids at LCM). He also had Stam already so it's not like he badly needed a hulking stopper either.

The bigger issue was not picking Nesta....but at least he strengthen his team in this round while most of us are getting fecked so maybe there is method to his madness :D

Davids can get fecked if he's stood in the way of El Principe.
