when he came back with the beard he looked and played like he was pissed off (for a few games). He just cant maintain it anymorePersonally I thought he was better this season (when he did play) than what he was the last two seasons. Not so much at the start, but after he was dropped and then the bearded Rooney came back he did quite well for a few weeks. Then while he obviously did drop off again, I thought it was still a higher level than previously. Certainly not good enough still.

that word I remember, from DelboySorry, mate, but that Plonker Of The Year trophy is all mine.
Yeah, I'm still annoyed we lost against Zenit!Had to look up our last one. Lost 2-1 to Zenit apparently. I don't remember it at all!
We'll do well to win the next one too! Though if we can win it, it's a boost already claiming a trophy, before you've even played league game 1
He's had a Connery is @ 26 seconds. calling it a Sean might be a first.as in connery, coronary? never heard that before
I'll always remember that game for Scholes thumping the ball into the net and getting sent off for it.Yeah, I'm still annoyed we lost against Zenit!

Here's also the other problem that no one tried an austere approach towards Rooney. The feckin whip hangs on the wall untouched since 2013 and that's a crying shame.when he came back with the beard he looked and played like he was pissed off (for a few games). He just cant maintain it anymore

I remembered bits from that ill fated World club cup in Brazil, the Gaz Nev mistake(s) and Beckham? red card, but the Zenit game, which must have been 7-8 years later, no memory. Strange.Yeah, I'm still annoyed we lost against Zenit!

They cant find the veins to take a blood sampleBloody hell, this medical's taking centuries!
He's gone for a smoke break.Bloody hell, this medical's taking centuries!
Is that the one when Scholes hand balled it?Yeah, I'm still annoyed we lost against Zenit!
Perhaps they're taking the empties back. They cant find the veins to take a blood sample

I just don't care, I find it funny is all. I cannot find something odd without caring ?Fair enough. I just don't get why you would care about Rooney potentially being finished if he's going to another team. Like you said, though, must be my interpretation.
Must be a drive-thru as you can't smoke in McDonald'sMedical is done and he's celebrating with a happy meal.
happy meal?? Big Mac at least!Medical is done and he's celebrating with a happy meal.
Yep. It's why I fully expect him to start very well for Everton. He'll be extremely fired up.when he came back with the beard he looked and played like he was pissed off (for a few games). He just cant maintain it anymore
I gave him a chance for the past 4 years in my initial fantasy football team but he let me down year after year that finally i realised that Rooney couldn't do it no more.Sad.
Really wanted him to stay one more year to prove that he can still turn it around with us.
Remember this one, but missed Connery part, I was probably relaying on subtitles too much. He's had a Connery is @ 26 seconds. calling it a Sean might be a first.
Naturally, I appreciate Rooney's service and I recognise he is a bona-fide club legend, but I don't feel sad about him leaving. Obviously, he's been a diminishing force over the past few seasons so that may factor in to my lack of sadness. But for context, I felt pretty sad when other legendary players like Giggs, Scholes, and Neville left. I even felt a bit sad when players like Nani (infuriatingly brilliant) and Chicharito left, despite them not attaining legend status. But Rooney, I'm struggling to feel anything other than relief if I'm being honest.
I genuinely hope he does well, but I'm OK with him gone.
I have no idea how this hasn't had a quote and a but I am using one of my limited mains posts to bid you well played, good sir.Goodbye scousers son
Though I never liked you at all
You had the grace to leave by yourself
Made running looking like a crawl
You couldnt even hit the woodwork
And agents whispered into your brain
They tried to set you on the treadmill
And they made you change your game
And it seems to me you lived your life
With fagsmoke in the wind
Never knowing who to pass to
I guess whoevers at right wing
And I would not mind to keep you
But we might as well get rid
Your body burned out long before
Your legend ever did
Still waiting for the replacement treadmill shock absorbers to arriveBloody hell, this medical's taking centuries!

I dont get it either.Surely this is a step back here for Everton. They've had some really good singings this summer and are building a really strong side. Sentimentality aside, i just can't see the logic in this move. For me Rooney is finished at the top level; he could become a big problem here for Koeman.
