Dreadful half, but don't think any players of ours seemed bothered (can't care less about these friendlies myself, really). I know it's only preseason but still disappointing too see that we look exactly the same after spending nearly 100 million. Still reserving my judgment on Lindelof, but I struggle to understand why we bought another centre back at all.

Was a strange game. Madrid played with more fluidity in the second half with their reserves. We looked very lethargic after the subs.
First half team were OK, looked more creative. Fellaini, and Carrick played OK, Martial likewise. Particularly pleased with Periera
Lindelof and Mike didn't work as cb pairing, Jones and Baily looked better.

We should hold a parade, though we'd probably miss the bus.
I know people will say Martial did well but apart from his insane assist I don't think he was all that great. He's an unbelievable dribbler when he's on it but if he's not doing that he offers almost nothing else. He isn't a great crosser or passer, he doesn't work hard or create space for anyone else. Basically all he can do is dribble and it's worrying to have a player that 1 dimensional.
Of course if he can provide assists like todays in every game then it's not that much of an issue but if he doesn't then i'll become concerned
