Bad header but if they keeper was more decisive she could have stopped that.
Have you seen Paul Pogba? This is the first time I've watched women's football. What's with all the mega long-range shots?
England seem a bit stuttery and lacking some quality in the final third since the break.
They keep reminding me of United. Missed chances, long shots and then a wild backpass. It's disturbing.Bottling it like the men, won't get critism like the men do.
Wiliams will hear it for that, but as she's lived six years as a homeless while developing as a footballer, I'll bet she's experienced worse stuff.Bottling it like the men, won't get critism like the men do.
It is a pen. Completely blocked the player without playing the ball.I have seen that given as a penalty so often
Oh rubbish.Blatant dive in the replay. She fell over before the contact.
Only watched the second half but England can only blame themselves. Bad defensive error and they have squandered a couple of good chances.England hasn't been lucky, but the Dutch defense has been exceptionally well.
Hopefully, that's a bit tongue in cheek, as the English team has delivered a very, very good tournament, SF is not failure in any reasonable sense, and going out to a home team that has surprised and impressed me from the start in the best game of the championship IMO, is not my idea of choking.Chooooooookerssssss
One dayOf course, this is the point we normally go: 'that's what you get when [so] and [so] United player wasn't picked!' ;P
Does Bronze always play RB? She looks like she could play further up.Of course, this is the point we normally go: 'that's what you get when [so] and [so] United player wasn't picked!' ;P
From previous discussion with you, I would assume you can better appreciate Jackie Groenen's Cruyff-like midfield fiestiness to Jade Moore's, which is more in the David Batty/Billy Bremner-mouldIf you compare those two teams though - on the vast amount of evidence of one game of which I saw about 1/2 hour properly, .
NED passing the ball between opposition players, on the ground, receiving 'on the half -turn' or with an eye on the next pass, supporting the ball (carrier) in little groups, making angles & taking positions to have the ball, shorter passes in general, keeping possession, fewer but better crosses from better positions...
And England looked a bit tired to me, and a bit headless chicken tbh.
