I agree he's got a higher ceiling but Jose doesn't look interested in developing him; Pocchettino transformed Rose and Walker from mediocre to the best fullbacks in the league, so I'd see them pushing for a swap including Shaw as part of any deal. I think Pocchettino would make him the best in the league within 2 seasons.
He won't listen. Next summer it's going to be Harry Kane or Dele Alli requesting a transfer and he'll still turn a blind eye to it.I'd worry about his knee, and see Bertrand as a safer, equally capable option, but Rose would be a worthwhile investment and upgrade on Blind and Darmian.

The only reason he has regressed is because of injuries which includes a year out with a broken leg. I only said that if he can get over his injury problems he still has all the time to develop. How long he's been here doesn't matter a bit or do you want us to get rid of a player like Gomes because he haven't developed into first team player yet despite being here for over a decade.
It would be the same as Walker. He'd not be a star and pretend that he didn't once suggest there are no next to players in the game that could replace him and that's Ben Davies is more than good enough. That said, I doubt Rose is leaving.
