Hope agent Pogba was tapping up Mahrez....if we can't get Perisic then he would be a good alternative.

Robbie Savage is such a tit. 'He's deliberately blocked it' 'He hasn't deliberately played the ball'.. Feck me, what a moron.

Good performance, we didn't sit off when we got ahead and didn't get panicky after the penalty miss, the biggest issue today was lack of real attacking threat from the fullbacks, time and gain they got in good positions and I can only think of one good cross between them all game.

If one of our 5 central defenders have to play as a defensive midfielder who would be the best? Jones?

Can Lukaku never take penalties again, holy shit that was a terrible one. Mata or Pogba please.

Tough team to break them down, we had some breaks, like Fellaini's offside goal then some non-breaks like Mata's non-offside goal. Mkhi is still infuriating, all this talent and football acumen but doesn't put it together into a consistent coherent performance.
Don't think it was a bad pen. But GKs study the penalties of attackers from the opposition and Schmeichel new Lukaku always goes left. Lukaku has put the last 6 pens all in the same direction, so he's very predictable. He needs to mix it up because even if your execution is good it won't help at all if the GK knows where you'll put it every time.

Was thinking it would have been another one of those negative results before an international break, which we have become accustomed to. Very pleased it wasn't the case.

We were slow at times but never looked overly uncomfortable. Very good result, lets hope all the lads come back okay from the international break.

Fine win, team look more like United again, pity we now loose momentum and our players are away getting injured in the International break.

Good performance, but it's a bit concerning that's 2 games now we've needed a set piece to break the deadlock.

Still think we need 1 more player out wide.

Rojo can also play LB so

Rojo Jones Bailly Valencia/Darmian

I see people harping about Blind. I thought he did really good tonight although the only thing counting against him is no shots at goal. He gave us crosses and defended and went up the wing very well.
Blind has been good to very good in the three Premiership games. He almost scored in one of the last two games.

Thought we were very dominant. Leicester have started well and they are a threat on the break and had moments in this game but, mostly snuffed out well. We have to trust that good teams will get opportunities if we go with the attitude of attacking with numbers.

Was Fellaini offside? Was watching the game but, commentary was cut because am in Texas and they had the governor speaking at the time PIP. Makes up for Schmeichel not being called for coming off his line.

So nice that we are getting goals from multiple sources. Biggest issue last season - games like this we hope Ibra-cadabra can bail us out and no one else putting the ball in the back of the net. Now just hope the International break is good to our players.

That was definitely a bad penalty, short of blazing it sky high, that is the worst type to take. It was a mid-height and about halfway between the middle and the post. That is a goalkeeper's dream penalty, they will save those for fun every time if they guess the correct side.

"Can Manchester United score? They always score"
I have said this before, but United needs another serial goal scorer. Against a tight defense unit like Leicester Lukaku was bound to struggle, Martial and Rashford are both erratic, Mkhi and Mata will contribute at best 10 goals each. Pogba another 10 goals. Subs cannot always save United like they did today, until and unless that sub is Solskjaer. United should have got Griezmann, they can still do.
We can't.

His buyout clause is now 200mil euros. And in a once off payment.

Very content with that performance. Better than the last two games imo. Until the penalty our game was great. Every player was involved, we attacked well from every part of the pitch and Leicester barely had a sniff. Good tempo, good intensity a really solid game.

After the pen I thought our heads went down a bit, and if anything the goal came during our quietest spell of the game. But in tough games sometimes it takes a set piece to make the breakthrough. Last season the number of goals we got from set plays was absymal. This time we've got one in each of our first three games.

Plenty of room for improvement and the inability to finish our chances in the first half is probably the main thing to chew over in the coming weeks. But far more reasons to be happy than not.

Only negative is Valencia still can't cross a ball.
He was very good in the first game. Ran past defenders and got into the penalty area to make dangerous crosses. Leicester's defence was well organised.

Valencia is still on the best RB's in the Premiership. It was difficult for him to run past defenders as there were at time three men stopping him from running ahead so he either passed sideways or back.

Our fullbacks needs to be much more productive if we are going to break down teams who are going to be compact in such manner. Spaces are found on the flanks but our delivery from out wide has been pretty awful.

Jose must be really short on options on LB since Blind is still playing despite his horrible deliveries from out wide and corners.
Today was incredibly frustrating, at least with Valencia you're not surprised (you're surprised by a good cross) but Blind can and should do much better. I hated to see these half arsed attempts, as if the ball is supposed to magically reach our players inside the box.

I read that although he agreed to a year's extension he insisted on his buy=out clause to remain as it was?

There's only one United!
Can you believe that Leicester won the League some time ago and they come here to defend and maybe grab a point and also maybe hit us on the break and snatch 3 points!?!

Games like this are very difficult but Mourinho has the knack of studying the opposition/game and make appropriate changes.

I thought Blind was good, and his crossing was alot better than Valencia.

I don't blame either Blind or Valencia as they always have to have one-eye on their defensive duties. I think it was the failure of Mata, Mykatarian and Martial who failed continuously to penetrate the 18 yard area.

Solid win. Mourinho has long had a knack of making the right substitutions, at the right time - bit of an ace of his.

But full-backs that don't overlap, at least need to be more consistent in their delivery. The space in behind was open to exploitation all afternoon, but we don't have the full-backs to do so. Couple that with wingers that primarily cut inside and we end up stymieing ourselves.

I hope we're looking to bring in a left-sided wing-back.

Someone tell me who to pick as MotM. I'm not sure. No-one was bad but it was just a determined team effort, the tryers did as much as the boys who actually had some success. Pogba?

Part of me wants to pick Bailly for having Vardy so firmly in his pocket all night.

Thankfully the complete dominance paid off.
You always felt a goal was coming at some point due to the vastly improved attacking mindset, as opposed to last season.
Long may it continue. The world just feels like a better place when United are playing well and winning.

I think Mourinho has been trying to get a left sided player who can cross the ball all summer. There's still hope while the transfer window is open, but its cutting it fine.

Really glad that the reaction here is subdued because the third win on a trot at the start of the season was only by 2 goals … omens are good!
It's hilarious how quickly our fans slip back into greedy spoilt mode!
Only won 2-0, fullbacks not doing anything, Lukaku, Mhky underwhelming, Pogba off target shooting!

Long may it continue!

Happy to see Man Utd survive their first real test of the season. Thought the team was dominant and deserved the win. Very happy to see the team not only dominating, but both full backs even pushed up to try and create width. Even happier to see the team keep its composure despite the missed penalty and the score still 0-0 late into the second half. The penalty was poor. When I saw Lukaku's last 5 penalties, I was shocked. I wasn't shocked when Schmeichel saved it. Mata's goal was onside. Fellaini's looked dodgy. Very lucky not to concede a goal late on. Pogba trying too hard to win it on his own. Lukaku had a bad day at the office. The defence had a good day. All in all, a positive continuation of the winning run. Maximum points, no goals conceded and 10 goals scored.
