5 match ban for that? Very excessive. Lucky to not get sent off but that's it.

What was wrong with the initial tackle for the both to react like that?

Either way, it definately needs to be looked at.

Yep. It's nothing compared to the stuff you see in south america for example.

You think grabbing a player around the throat and laughing while doing it is acceptable?
We can always arrange for Fellaini to grab one of your midgets around the throat if so.

It'll be a 3 match ban at least.

Ref gave him a yellow though so not sure if the FA will have deemed it excessive enough to warrant overturning his decision.

And no, it's not acceptable, hence why I said it should have been a red card. He's not exactly done anything that's going to cause damage though. Standard three game ban for violent conduct would have been fair.

He looks like a psychotic Drake. Clearly all the praise he got after that BT Sport appearance has gotten to his head.

The ref gave him a yellow which was even more hilareous. He come so across as a prick to me. I'm not sure if it exist so bur there seemed to quite the love in for him among the media from the coverage I've seen.

I like how little Joe Allen seemed completely unfazed.

He was in prison for assault so he's got that side to him.

Bit of 6 of one half a dozen of the other.

If you have a 5 match ban for that, then we will be looking at season bans for dirty tackles.

Allen held his own to be fair to him.

Both laughing in the gif. The entire thing seems like a show to me.

Apparently he's on the way to Stoke to settle the matter with Allen:

Every confrontation seems to be news nowadays. I'm sure if you ask the players now, they'll both brush it off. It's football.
