The Power in another final.

Hes a bit of a fecker though isn't he?

Both him and Gerwen are a bit unlikeable. But that's probably the missing ingredient to being the best. Phil will smash Cross unfortunately/fortunately (delete as applicable).

feck me, what a game. MVG has looked a bit shaky this tournament, but weird to see him missing so many doubles. Hats off to Cross though. God knows what will happen tomorrow.

Might just be his year, MVG, Smith and dancing Dimitri have missed darts to beat him

Unreal game of darts. Fair play to Cross, always great to see an underdog do the unimaginable.

Still fancy Taylor for the final though, what a fairytale that'd be.

Bit rich for Sky to randomly have a go at booing after they've encouraged that sort of thing for years.
Edit experience will win on Monday unfortunately, I remember good old Kirk Shephard back in the day.

I'm not so sure. Both will be nervy and emotional- both semis and the quarters tbh were nervy affairs. Maybe Phil bows out with the Grand Prix and World in his last year, which would be incredible, but Cross has turned a corner finally beating MVG on TV. Neither winning would be a surprise tbh.

Bit torn with that result. Great to see the underdog win but Phil Taylor might be the most insufferable cnut in the world today and i would have fancied MVG a lot more to take care of him
Some people keep saying so, why is that so? (Just a casual watcher, haven't seen any dickish stuff from him so far.)

All depends on how he handles the situation of it being Taylor’s last ever T.V match. Saw in the Matchplay with Peter Wright, I turned and said to my Dad, “Wright has lost this” that before a dart was thrown, as he was crying as Phil Taylor was doing his walk on.

Bad winner and an even worse loser. Hated it when the crowd booed him but says players should just get on with it when it happens to others.
At the GSOD this year complaining that Gurney didn’t pour him a glass of water, even though Taylor came out 1st

Copying and being disrespectful

Ah, I see. :D
Cheers.

The Rob Cross and Kirk Shepard comparisons are unfair. Rob Cross is not Kirk Shepard. Shepard never played anywhere near to the level that Cross has played at this year. Shepard just had a good run in one tournament, Cross has been very good for most of this year and is getting better as he gains experience. The guy literally only started playing professional darts less than a year ago and is already ranked 6th in the world after tonight's win (think he moves up to 3rd if he beats Taylor on Monday) It's an incredible story and there's no doubt in my mind that he's here to stay.

I find him a patronising, entitled, arrogant unfunny cnut. Extremely prickly and sore loser. Not to mention the sexual assault convictions and the reports about him walking out on his family and leaving his kids on benefits. Everyone that meets him seem to confirm he’s a cnut in the flesh. Just a thoroughly dislikable man. No surprise he’s from Stoke. Unreal darts player though.

Completely agree. It's been a staggering rise, but this is his third TV major final this year. He really has been number two to MVG in all but official ranking terms this year. He's defo going to win loads in the coming years.

Shows someone the middle finger as he walks off

So close!!

Glad he didn’t get it. We’d never have heard the end of it.

This guy is a machine. Superb darts.

What a dominant performance. One thing to beat an ageing legend but to embarrass him is another.

Edit: Peter Wright must be seething his song has been usurped. :D

Still 16 world titles
And I believe no player who he has ever played more than once has a winning head to head record against him
I suspect Taylor will probably retire safe in the knowledge that nobody else will achieve that
