His two kids live in Madrid (that's what he's on about regarding his heart). I'll be amazed if he's a Chelsea player next season.

A lot of Chelsea fans on here were pretty chuffed when Emenalo headed off but he seemed to have a decent grasp of things as manager after manager came and left the club.

Then he should chose his words nicely. It's not time to throw any hints at this transfer during this difficult period the team is passing through.

80 mil for Courtois, 150 for Hazard and another 150 for Kane? Only 1,7 neymars and would be a nice rebuild for RM. Sell Ronnie for 50 mil, Benzema for 30-40.

More on topic: Can't see Conte staying after this season, even if they make top 4.

Who cares. This is not an issue at all.
Maybe for you, but for myself I'll be gutted if the team is losing and one of our players talked openly about moving to another club, disrespecting the situation his current club is passing through.

He should have said he's only concentrating on Chelsea at the moment and not thinking about anything, even if he's planning to leave.

You'd be gutted, seriously?

I literally could not care less. I don't think he's disrespected anyone or anything.

Yes because it shows that he gives feck all about the team current situation and thinking only about leaving.

If that's Ok for you, well it can't be helped.

Isn't it in the least a bit disconcerting that one of your best players is openly talking about leaving?

As a United fan I'm chuffed at that quote!

Not sure which top manger would want to touch the Chelsea job after Conte goes, a reputation of treating managers badly, less competitive than for a long time in the transfer market, a fair chance of losing two of their best players, and the possibility of no CL.

People say this every time we sack a manager. There's probably 5 managers in the world who won't want the job if Conte goes.

Guardiola, Mourinho, Klopp, Pochettino, Wenger… Only in the Premier League there are already 5.

Courtois' words were taken out of context which is obvious based on the '...'

He is a former Atletico Madrid player, and his family live in Madrid. Of course his heart is in Madrid.

They are not out of context, look at his full quote and i mean more than just this sentence. He is begging Real to buy him

Because of the stigma created by the media, opposition and even some off our own fans that's it's never the manager's fault when thing's go wrong at Chelsea we will have a fair share manager's show interest. In terms of risk to reputation or future chances of employment it's practically a free hit for a job, as the Jose situation proved.

Toxic, troubled club. It's amazing how they go from looking sensational, winning the title then completely collapsing the very next season.....and this happens quite often, too, nowadays. Something is very, very wrong at that football club and I'm not exactly sure what. I quite like Conte, to be honest. I like having himin the league, he doesn't offend me either. But he's GONE.

Courtois too, by the sounds of it.

They have quite a bit of rebuilding to do especially if Hazard, Courtois and Conte leave this summer. They have young players but how effective are they? How capable are they of changing games? Not so much.

Fair enough, not sure which way you turn next though, your squad is all over the place, and I'm just not sure Roman has the appetite to financially back another top manager to turn things around, and he'll need to do that to attract anyone of note.

If Courtois situation turns out to be true then he is a Madrid's player next summer. I'd would be amaze if Perez manage to feck up this situation again just for downplay the fees again.
I quite understand @duffer's POV, amazingly, he put his logical side above all else in supporting Chelsea, hats off mate.
I think Courtois is not a Chelsea lover tbh, quite a few times he admitted he would back to Madrid if possible, this not the first time i think.

I honestly get more annoyed when players talk bollocks about their "love" for the club than someone being honest.

Of course Courtois would go to Madrid if he had the chance. So long as they don't do a Mahrez it's fine with me.

Simeone wont take over there, he will go to Italy first IMO. Their next manager will be Tuchel or Luis Enrique

Sounds like a 'come and get me' plea. I can see Madrid buying him and Hazard this summer actually. Chelsea will have some serious issues if they don't replace them well.

Weirdly enough I feel the same.
I prefer honesty, but at the same time I wish their honesty was what I wanted to hear.

Jose would cone back in a heartbeat. He'd check our of his motel and move back to his family faster than you could say "room service for 1".
This post is almost as big a shambles as Chelsea's transfer policy.

It's hard to say who's actually in charge but it certainly isn't the manager. I know Marina Granovskaia has quite a lot of power behind the scenes and appears to be the main person in regards to transfers and negotiations

The signings since 2016 have all been mostly underwhelming tbh. Kante is the only one who you can call an actual world class player. Zappacosta was our 4th-5th choice for RWB and was a total panic signing

In all honestly I can't see many managers wanting the Chelsea job right now. No control over transfers, expected to compete on all fronts while the board sign average players for you, the board failing to sign almost all your targets, possibly won't even be in the Champions League next season...

Sadly Luis Enrique is the best we could hope for right now.

Apparently before Pep took the City job he rejected us due to the fact our team needed a complete overhaul, before Hiddink left he said this squad needs some serious work doing to it, Conte has constantly said that this team needs new players in the first 11, yet the board have took no notice and just continued to sign average, cheap players who in no way improve our first team

250 million spent on new players in the Summer and Winter transfer windows and not one of them have improved the first 11.
Luis Enrique at Chelsea would eventually create scenes even more dramatic than Conte and Mourinho. And it looks like he’s the favourite for the head coach job so I am looking forward to all six months of it because that’s how Long he will last.

Frankly, it doesn’t matter one iota whoever is hired. He will be gone due to unrealistic expectations of him. I would be more interested in any news of a rich consortium buying out Roman’s shares and becoming the new owners.

Antonio Conte will not resign as pressure builds on Chelsea manager
Antonio Conte has no intention of resigning at Chelsea despite his team’s recent dismal run and expects to oversee the game against West Bromwich Albion next week, though the Italian has agreed to his players’ request for extra time off to recharge their batteries amid a draining schedule. The ailing champions endured a second successive three-goal defeat at Watford on Monday to leave the head coach, who was always expected to depart Stamford Bridge in the summer, battling to retain his position in the short term.

Chelsea have denied reports in Spain that their director Marina Granovskaia has met the former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique about succeeding Conte and insist it remains business as usual at the club despite only two wins in 10 games since the turn of the year.

Ofcourse Conte won't resign, he's gonna get a fat pay out once they part ways by 'mutual consent'.

Football fans demand total commitment from players when in reality it just another daily jobs like others but with million paycheck.

Chelsea will sell him if the offer match their evaluation. But i dont think they will sell both Hazard and Courtois, its their top 2 best players, even Roman would not that crazy right?

Why Tuchel?? What on earth has he done to be always talked of such glowing terms, and linked with big clubs?

Even if true, question is... would you want him back?

Read in the rags that Luis Enrique is a possible replacement. Thoughts?

Didn't Simeone say something in the lines of he won't be interested in managing chelsea, but he would like to manage United?
IIRC there was a times article saying the same

After reading what Courtios said and has been saying for some time, must confess DDG has handled the situation like a total professional. He hasn't spoken out about it even once despite wanting to move to Spain.

And Luis Enrique becoming the next Chelsea manager would be fun,the Barca fans supporting the two plasticos.
Who do you love more Barca fans, Pep or Lucho? Not sure? Well its almost time to choose :)

Why would any first tier coach want to be Chelski manager is beyond me.
English journos are also pathetic. Just like Mou they are circling like sharks over Conte. Don’t like Conte at all but if there is a “palpable discord” between Conte and his players then the same theme keeps recurring over players sticking it to the manager the minute they start underperfoming. When will Abromovich wise up to the fact that his club is not RM or Barca where they can attract the top managers and coaches while offering little to no job security.
