    Not sure what line up we'll go with. Think it's a certainty we'll get minutes for Carrick, McTominay and Bailly. I'm going for;

    Romero

    Shaw
    Lindelof
    Bailly
    Valencia

    Pogba
    McTominay
    Carrick

    Martial
    Lukaku
    Sanchez

We'll be taking this competition seriously but Matic really needs a rest, he's been a mainstay this season but he's only human. We should beat them pretty comfortably, players will be playing with a point to prove and after what we saw last time we played them (despite it being at OT) they really don't have a lot of footballing ability.
Side I would hope for. Add Matic and DDG back in and would be happy to see it for the rest of the season.

If Lindeloff doesn’t start today, then he may as well be sold. Give the lad a chance ffs!

Any word on who has traveled yet? I am pretty sure Romero and Shaw will start, Valencia probably rested as well. As for the rest, I really have no clue what kind of side José will go for. It's arguable that this is more important than the Sevilla game for a few reasons:

    1) This is a one-off game against weaker opposition, we can get away with a draw/loss in Seville if we at least score and keep it tight.
    2) We have a far better chance of winning the FA Cup than we do the Champion's League.

Despite this, there will definitely be changes such as I mentioned above. I'd hope some players can return, mainly Rashford and Herrera (I think Fellaini's injury is going to be the worst of the recent ones). If Pogba is really fully fit, then he needs to play here and play well to redeem himself before the Champion's League game. Make an impact.

    Romero
    Young Lindelof Rojo Shaw
    McTominay Carrick Pogba
    Mata Lukaku Sanchez
Despite people's reservations on certain players, I think the starting line-up against Sevilla will be something like this: de Gea; Valencia, Smalling, Jones, Young; Matic, Herrera, Pogba; Martial, Lukaku, Sanchez.

    ------------Romero------------
    Valencia---Bailly---Rojo---Shaw
    --McTominay--Carrick--Pogba--
    --Sanchez---Lukaku---Martial--

Subs: De Gea, Mata, Lingard, Lindelof, Jones, Young, Gomes

Smalling to make the tea and back to our defensive best with Bailly/Rojo in the centre.

    Huddersfield 0-3 Manchester United

This game comes at a time when there is obviously next week's CL game coming up, so Mourinho will obviously want to keep certain players fit for that, but that needs to be balanced against the fact that the CL and the FA Cup are the only two trophies United can still win this season, barring a Devon Loch collapse from City in the League. Even then, the CL is an outside bet.

It’s not the end of the world if we bow out of the cup, but damn it, not to these cnuts - we are not losing to fecking Huddersfield again!
I'd rather lose (which we shouldn't anyway) rather than have a key player with a busted ankle because they are fouling cnuts.

Pretty amazing Mourinho lied about Pogba's position and our midfield shape against Newcastle away. We played as he said (4-3-3 with a #6 and two #8, Pobga on the left and Lingard on the right) for about 20', in the start of the second-half till 66', when Lingard and Pogba both went out.

Nope we started that way. We just played a very poor version of it.

Is Fellaini fit? Missed our last game but no one mentioned him in the press conference.

Ah well. I was hoping to see him bounce back and play well today after all the bullshit this week. This will probably lead to even more media bullshit now.

Oh no I hope Mourinho doesn’t hold it against him for not playing through the illness barrier.

He explained the instructions he gave, not how they were executed.

I've no idea how we will line up today, if I was choosing the team I'd go with this:

    Romero

    Lindelof - Bailly - Rojo

    Young - McTominay - Carrick - Pogba - Shaw

    Sanchez - Martial

I don't think he will be playing much of a changed/weakened side though with it being the most realistic chance at a trophy:

    De Gea
    Lindelof - Bailly - Jones - Shaw

    McTominay - Matic - Pogba

    Martial - Lukaku - Sanchez

Ah thats unfortunately gonna fan the flames a little. Especially as Jose said he'd start just yesterday.

Does seem like half of the country is ill at the moment though.

    Pogba is 'ill'

This is a massive loss, Huddersfield will be looking to repeat their Premier League performance. I was nervous already and now I'm bricking it. Hope we turn up!

Maybe ‘ill’ stands for ‘depressed’ here.

Yeah doesn't look great and will only add to the already tiresome fire within the media, ABUs etc. I absolutely can't stand when we are in a negative moment like we are just now, so frustrating. He better be back for the CL.

I don't think so, I think he was trying to sweeten it. We started with the usual 4-2-3-1, then he had it changed after half-time. Mourinho's putting it like it was the whole game like that.

Fellaini, Pogba and Ander out injured/sickness.
Isn't Matic playing with an injury for months too?

Time to play Blind in midfield?

I doubt he's ill. Mourinho probably wanted to give him a rest and knew that leaving him out causes trouble.
