Are there 2 more frustrating players to watch than Sanchez and Pogba in the league?

Can't remember having 2 such incredibly talented players at United but who do the same daft things over and over.

Will they get the hang of things like running into space, passing into each other's feet, shooting instead of running into 6 defenders and falling over when they're at the edge of the box? Or will this be how it is until one of them packs his bags?

Smalling and Lindelof?

But back to Pogba and Sanchez, Rashford has done more in 5 minutes than they have done in their last 5 games.

They have no instructions nor do they have a system in which to play.

Everything is completely individualistic and off the cuff. That said, they still could be a lot more competent in the basics but the blame is with the tactics/coaching for me.

Sanchez gave the ball away 19 times in the first half. He needs to stop dropping deep to play the playmaking role and focus on finishing attacks in the final third with his excellent goal/assist tally.

Think that's harsh on Sanchez. Has worked hard today and tried a lot of things that nearly came off.

Pogba though... Running out of patience with him. One of the most annoying players we've ever had.

No. They're not being coached. Look at Sanchez at Arsenal.. Okay he still gave the ball away but he ran riot as well. Look at Pogba for Juve. He was sensational at times.

They're frustrating because Jose doesn't know how to utilise them properly.

I think Sanchez hold onto ball for too long..He should release much quicker..United missed many opportunities because Sanchez was too busy getting full control of the ball.

They’re both gash. Incredibly frustrating to watch.

Pogba’s obsession with branding and social media is the reason he’s not at De Bruyne’s level. If he had the dedication of Ronaldo, he would be like Zidane. But instead he’s got the mental age of a teenager. Obsessed with haircuts and social media and partying. I’m just sick of it. Grow up for feck sake.

Still waiting for people to realise our lack of an attacking structure is hard for players. Player movement and passing combinations non-existent. The next signing will also look disappointing till we fix somethings.

Seems neither of them has heard of playing the whistle. They're the absolute worst for losing the ball and just stopping, protesting for a free kick while the play goes on.

Oh, come on with this shit. They were excellent in second half. Everything started with them. Yes they lose ball often but they also create clear chances.

Working hard and being effective are 2 different matters. My dog works pretty hard on the ball but doesn't mean she gets selected. Rooney used to cover the entire pitch but still not being at the right place at the right time. Unless the manager designated you as free role, which is highly unlikely under Mourinho, each player has his role to play for the team. Sanchez worked at Arsenal on the left because the entire Arsenal team cover for his ass, and you can't expect Utd doing the same.

When you look at how much they cost and the wages they are on....no. They are the most frustrating players. Those two needs to be on the level of De Bryune, Salah, Hazard, De Gea, Kane, Silva, Sane and Aguero, but they seem like a level behind those players at the moment. However, I have no doubt that they are capable of reaching that level because they have done so in the past before.

I agree. Especially with Pogba, as he's been here long enough and he's shown he can do it. Sanchez is new to the squad and as good as he is, we're not a well-oiled machine, so he cannot be fully blamed for being out of sorts.

Pogba needs to deliver because time is running out for him to have a consistent period of being a solid great player.

Every time I watch the two of them play, it's apparent they are far too close to each other. Always passing to each other five yards.

Waste of time.

Pogba seems to be turning the gear on and off as he wishes. Pretty frustrating to me. He has every possible quality to become best midfielder in the league but he tends to show up only when he wants and looks disinterested way too many times. Consistency is the key. He needs to be on his gear for the full 90 minutes in every game not when he wishes.

Sanchez is a massive headache currently. He was always losing the ball a lot but he tends to do great things with it also. He's not at the moment. I'm willing to give him a pass this season but next season he should be what we used to see from him at Arsenal.

Regarding the question in the title, that's OTT though. There're plenty of players more frustrating that's for sure.

Running out on what exactly? Sanchez is the one who's 29 and needs to make an impact before he loses another yard of pace

Sanchez was bad but Pogba imo carried our attack on his own and was good in the second half.

I can’t agree with this. Sanchez is 29 years old, what exactly is Jose going to teach him that he already doesn’t know?

It’s easy to blame the manager. I would just say like a lot of the team we don’t play to Sanchez’s strength and he gets frustrated.

He wants quick 1-2 with Lukaku. Lukaku for what ever reason can’t do this. And like Rooney did for so many years his frustration leads to him dropping deep to receive the ball where he’s ineffective.

Yes. We could be watching Andros Townsend every week.

Sanchez and Pogba were awful for the large majority of the match but they're not the problem. They're fantastic players that for a range of reasons are not playing at their best.

I watch Utd and always wonder why our players don’t run into space rather than towards defenders? It’s a simple manoeuvre but when players keep on doing it time after time you have to wonder if they understand the game.

Criticism cannot only be levelled at Jose, at this level if you require constant coaching about your positioning then you are simply not good enough. It’s true that Jose likes his team to retain positional roles when possession is lost but not when we are attacking.

Still think it's down to the manager to get the most of these stars. It should be obvious they don't feel comfortable with their football at the moment.

And so is Aguero. He's 29. There are plenty of examples of players learning new things in their peak/latter years.

Listen, there are plenty of managers who can't fit the best players into a team. For example: Didier Deschamps with Griezmann and Pogba. I don't think they've played well under him. But ultimately they're both amazing players and far from frustrating. I just think Jose needs another coach in the team. No shame in that. SAF brought in Carlos Queiroz for us to succeed in Europe.

We have few
Young and Valencia are top of the list.
Pogba his attitude is so questionable, I wonder how many games he was world class since he came here.
Sanchez probably need to link up more with players he can better managed.
Lindelof not our qulity. Simple.
Shaw cannot lose weight.

We have lots of weaknesses and hopefully Jose addresses them. Today Valencia and Young substitution is a start and was a real great tactical change by Jose.

Probably not. People mentioned Young and Valencia, etc, but they haven't got half the ability of Pogba and Sanchez, which is why it frustrates me more.

Simple five yard passes being given away, or over-hitting simple passes. Absolute nightmare.

I would have Queuroz back but the Iranians won’t let him leave!

Here’s the problem.

I’m thinking of a player;

He’s forward thinking
Likes to drop deep to receive the ball
Prefers to start on the left then come inside
Likes playing one twos
Pretty good at a weighted ball over the top of the defence
strong on the ball
Happy to shoot from range
Wants to be the main man
Frustrating as feck when not at their best

Even I don’t know who I’m talking about. Sanchez either needs to roam out right, or play as a conventional left winger and hug the touch line. He and pogba are too similar.

All I could see was “Are there 2 more frustrating players...” and knew it was Pogba and Sanchez. Just dire tonight.

But seriously there is nothing wrong with bringing coaches in to help your team. It's almost ironic as Jose did a similar thing under Sir Bobby Robson and LvG.

Pogba could end up another Riquelme. All the talent in the world but his head not in the right place.

That sounds like Ronaldo, Rooney, Tevez. They clicked.

And then you have Jose at Inter who utilised players brilliantly. Playing Eto'o out position etc.

And then Madrid with plethora of talent. Kaka, Ronaldo, Ozil, di Maria, Benzama.

I think all of the above fall into that category.

More frustrating thing atm is not getting the best out of their talent. They also shouldn't play so close to each other imo. Looked a bit better in the second half.

Still, any comparison between Pogba's lack of attitude and the effort Sánchez puts in every game is a joke.
