Does anyone know much about London Travel? Specifically a station outside of London where you can park up and then get a train and/or tube into London to get to wembley? I driving & parking at a station then travelling in as an option to travel to the semi
Depends where you are coming from? I usually drive to West Ruislip (£2 parking) then get the tube to Wembley (£10 return).

Stanmore is another option, have previously parked both at the station or outside some posh houses (saves fighting to get out car park, new bmw M3 was fine there) with a 5/10 minute walk

I’m tempted to stick it and call the club up to withdraw. Tickets are overpriced for a semi final, especially in an era where our clubs are “subsidising” league away fans and don’t need to fleece us. Travel options are real inconvenient and/or expensive too.

Much admiration for all our away fans who put up with all the awkward travel. Money is tight at the moment for me and I may have a chance for the final anyway regardless of attendance here. We were a credit short for the League Cup final last year and got in.
Don't withdraw your application, plenty of takers if you don't want to go and it might count as a credit towards the final.

Aren’t the club doing some pick ups for this match to help combat touts?

Anyone got any sort of stat of how many of the 55,000 season ticket holders might have opted out of the league cup?
Or know how many exes we have?

Basically what sort of odds we might be looking at for those 33,000+ tickets.

I'd presume it should be an excellent chance of getting a ticket if you want one, simply because a lot of northern based fans won't want the expense/time/awkwardness of a sat evening trip for a semi final.

Shame its not the Sunday, as I was hoping to take in my home town and other season ticket team Wycombe v Accrington, in game 44 of 46 in a potential promotion season! But I may still do the first half there then race over!

WHere do they get the prices from?

FA fully support the £30 premier league away tickets then pull an £80 ticket for a semi final.

No idea but then again they never openly say it do they? You just get a letter asking you to pick up your ticket.
In this scenario, is it just the "named" person who deals with the booking, or would both people on the tickets need to pick up with ID?

100% you'll get a ticket for this, or 99.9% at least, if you've got full credits. Even for the League Cup final last year, we had fewer tickets I think and still everyone with full credits got one, and we got in one short.

Good to know. I got in for the Everton semi 2 years ago without full credits, in fact i'd opted out of league cup and Europa - 4 extra games - but I seem to recall there was a very short window to apply, which helped greatly!

Had no chance in hell for the final of course. And rightly so

Did everyone with full home cup credits get a ticket for the final?

Hi all,
Just got the ticket for matchweek 38 vs Watford. It will be my first time traveling to Old Trafford. Is it true that matches will be scheduled only when all the teams will play 37 games meaning I cant book the flight etc until a week before? Are the kickoffs for week 38 the same as for all previous weeks?
Thanks.

It'll be played on the Sunday and will kick off at either 3pm or 4pm.

Hi. Thanks. One question more, is one hour enough to get from airport to old trafford while i have such connection if the kick off would be 3:00pm. What about 2 hours if kick off is 4:00pm. Thanks.

No over 1000 didn't, we had 30k with full credits then but told this year we are down to 29k with full credits so still possible a few would miss out, remember some go to club, players etc as well

Cheers - that would be very annoying to be part of that small number!

I think that was the initial ballot... I can't recall the ins and outs but a number of tickets got returned and in the end, even some fans on 9 credits out of the 10 home cup matches got tickets to the final.

I phoned the ticket office this week to ask if the semi-final will be counted as a credit if we were to make the final... and they said they didn't know. I know it didn't count last time but would have been nice to know for sure.

I've changed to £30 preference and gonna suffer on Megabuses. Chap on the phone didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with the singing section originally being ear-marked for the second cheapest £40 section and now being confirmed for the second dearest £65 section. Modern football, hey?

Would be good to get confirmation on credit situation for semi applications counting as a credit or not the final.

Are applications for the Semi open to season ticket holders only?
Is this a wind up?

Whoever the ticket is for has to pickup with ID so if there's 2 people on the booking, that's 2 separate ID's

If we selected the singing section as a preference, I assume we'll be moved automatically, according to the price band it will end up in? I applied Price Band C (£40 originally I think), but apparently now it's in the second most expensive section at £65?

It was put in the wrong price category at the lower price before prices were known. That was a mistake and has now been corrected but i think they will assume you still want the singing section at the higher price unless you phone them to say otherwise

Yeah I was hoping that would be the case. I don't mind and will pay the extra, but understand that may not be the case for everyone

I know of someone who phoned up at last minute and got one on a membership. Having said that, it was too late for a number of full credits to go although as you say a number did get on callbacks (orig 2k missed out)
Highly unlikely to take semi attendance into account, never have done and not discussed anywhere

Is a pickup actually likely? They can't be asking many of a 33,000 allowance to pick up on the day, it'd be madness.

I ask as I have 2 season tickets, and as per their terms, rotate the other ticket between pals.

I'm not sure if the named guy on ticket 2 can make it, so I'd thought if he can't the guy who goes to the next highest amount with me could come instead. Now i'm suddenly wondering if that is doable after all.

Is there a "Ban" of any sort, if you've applied for a ticket, then "Cried off" ill or something, once told there is a pick up? Or are you ok as long as you cancel?

I wouldn't apply for an away unless I knew for certain my named pal could come, but those are much lower allowances. But for Wembley I hadn't actually given this much thought until now.

Thoughts?

I think if you are asked to collect and then cancel you then have to collect all aways for 1 year

That's reasonable.
Will press on. While briefing pal that his lucky break to get the ticket may fall through!

How long before the game do they ask for collection?

Whenever I have had to collect it's at the ground. Thought it would be headache but the collections process is actually ran pretty well by the ticket office.

They give you a couple of days notice though right?
And only a certain percentage of randomised people selected?

Can't be asking 33,000 people to collect, imagine the scenes

I can't really remember now, I know for Leicester they told us in advance as everyone had to collect their ticket but there have been times this year where I have just received a letter instead of a ticket through the post around a week before the game.

They usually give you a couple of weeks notice.

Usually when they send the tickets out, they will also send letters to people that have to collect at the same time.

I've had to collect at Southampton and Spurs this season

Give yourself a few hours, if it’s your 1st time you can give a walk around or go to a local bar for some atmosphere. If you just want to get to game give yourself 2 hours , by the time you’ve got out of airport and transport you’ll need it.
