I'm currently travelling, so I missed the game because of the time difference, but what a result to wake up to! I don't think I have ever watched the entire 90 minutes of a game I have missed, but I will probably do that for this one.

Besides spoiling the party for City, which is great in itself, I hope this result will serve as a real morale and confidence booster. Both for the remainder of this season, but more importantly going into the next one.

Let's secure 2nd and take home the FA Cup!

I missed the match too. Is there anywhere I can watch the complete match?

Just thinking, they will now be worried that they won't have coverage of them clinching the title. They could win it against Spurs, but if not it could be Swansea I think. Who is showing those games? They will be sick if BT nab the winning party.
They can't win it against Spurs. They play before us and if we beat West Brom we'll postpone the celebrations by another week at least.

I realised that. It is the next game they have. I was just wondering who was showing it. If it is BT then Sky will be sick as the proverbial parrot. Spurs are capable of beating them if they have a go. So it might be squeaky bum time.

What a win.

Pogba really stepped it up today with his 2 goals and strong dribbling and Sanchez was brilliant as well, getting 2 assists and one pre-assist. And that save by DDG at the end from aguero’s header:drool:. What a great feeling after the past 4 years to have world class players who are also big game players e.g. the 3 aforementioned players, unlike the ones we did have during that 4 year time period such as di maria.

Also, aside from the true world class players in our team today, the players who are just a tier below them, the good to very good players also all played brilliantly today. Take Herrera for example, fantastic in all aspects today. Class passing, highly intelligent chest-down assist and winding the city players up at the end as well, especially jesus and danilo. Young as well, apart from the shaky start where he was getting destroyed by sterling. That saving challenge on aguero to stop city’s counter attack towards the end was just the cherry on top of his massive cake.

Thought Atkinson was good as well and didn’t let the shitty fans intimidate him, especially at the end when the shitty players lost their heads and were constantly fouling us.

So have to admit I was one of those who was really peed off when they went 2-0 up and the second half surprised me almost as much as if Beyonce had asked me to marry her! It was thrilling and amazing and I thought those days were gone. But it shouldn't gloss over the very real problems that our defence is appalling, that it's a disgrace that two failed wingers are our fullbacks, that Smalling is seen as defender, that Pogba was all haircut and nothing else and that City should have been five up at half time. We were truly awful after going behind and a 20-minute purple patch does not mean we are going to win the title next year. I'd love to know what Jose actually said at half time, rather than the sanitised version he told the press (surely he didn't really tell Pogba he couldn't play any better than he had done in the first 45 mins)

Important putting down a marker before next season as well. To show that they can beat the best team ever.

Yes, Atkinson had a good game from our viewpoint and generally, I think, unbiased towards any team which is to be commended considering the atmosphere at the game. He did well not to have red carded players from both sides. Of course Man Shitty fans wont see it that way.

I might have to get a hard copy of this game as I would love to see it again, it was certainly a classic which will be engraved into MU history.

I was just saying to my mate at half time that it is a shame that we are 0 2 down to a team such as City and honestly I just wanted us to show a little character before the second half. You don't become Champion by not playing the best football that season that is true, but you could sense that this is a mentally fragile side (the same can't be said for Fergies teams and Joses Chelsea) and there are weaknesses to exploit and more teams will have a go at them next season. So this is a massive win for us and the moral of the team going into the FA cup semis and (I hope) next season. And we should enjoy this win for the next few days because the last time I was this hyped we beat City 2 3 at their place thanks to RVPs winner.

All valid points on which I agree, but lets enjoy the moment as I can see you are.

Haha, that game was mental. The poorest of poor first half and then totally crushed them to dust in the second. What the feck happened during the half time, would be nice to know.

Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool and Citeh. All beaten within a couple of months. Now all we need is a win against spuds to complete the set.

Outstanding performance from the whole team. Pogba proved his critics wrong, he's a machine when set free. His second goal will be remembered for long time.

Alright let’s not get carried away here.
Yeah, I may have been joking about the title :D but it's great to beat them, great to stop them winning the title against us and....hopefully....an important result in terms of confidence going forward and maybe....just maybe...a turning point for Pogba both in terms of himself and Jose's understanding of his most effective role.

I stepped out at half-time, just followed the second half on Livescore on the bus... and wow! City must have started celebrating at the interval, just like Milan in 06.. very impressed by the players - not giving up. Also glad Mourinho didn’t do something stupid like changing Pogba for McTominay to make a statement, then this wouldn’t happen at all.

And a special thanks to the referee, denying Aguero the clearest penalty in history :D

This ... Also Bailly was missing in action in first half .. Mourinho was also taken apart inn first half and I was one of them who didnt like anyone og those mentioned in first half .. Kudos to them in the second . I still think Mourinho should have had a real go at them from the start.

Really glad we got the result today this would have been unbearable for years ..

Valencia was my Motm didnt give Sane a sniff all game ..

And that save from DDG .. Just sublime ..
VALENCIA really ??? Isn't football weird in its subjectivity?? I thought/think valencia has become terrible and is one of our major problems that need sorting out in the summer transfer window..he is know a crab ,sideways passing or back

City had 6 players booked yesterday, and were lucky they didn't have more or even a sending off or two. Does that mean they incur some sort of fine for failing to control their players?

City should have been five up at half time.
I don't know why people keep saying they should have been 5 up. All the chances they missed were to score their 3rd. They never even had one single attempt at scoring a fourth goal, let alone a fifth.

Hope City and liverpool is a nasty long game, with some players being banned from playing the next on both sides, going to ET or even penalties, etc.

Our best chances of giving City a scare is them being overloaded by fixtures. I honestly trust tottenham to beat them.

Imperative that Utd build on that result. It is the type of comeback that could bond the team, create the spirit to drive a challenge next year. Go to Spurs in the SF and put in a poor performance and they lose that momentum. Its has to mean something other than embarrassing City, as fun and unexpected as that was.

Jose stopped with his long ball nonsense just because city press. Finally showed we can play through it.. but needed the first half to calm the deck down and play

I thought he was great .. Sane wasnt involved in the game at all .. But I get your point about him staying back and passing backwards.. I think Young is chosen to go forward and Valencia stays .. But i felt he had a massive game ..

I wonder if anyone actually did turn off at half time? The matchday thread was full of people saying they'd turned it off. How gutting, but serves them right.

Still feeling so happy after yesterday’s result! Pre-match, I would have taken a point if I was offered it. First half, we were poor. The 2nd half was as if a completely different side had emerged from the tunnel. Terrific comeback!

Classic game of two halves.

Once City scored, and Sterling moved to the centre, we really couldn't handle the movement of City. Our back line and pressing as a unit was all over the place. We were very lucky not to have been 3 or 4 down at half time.

As it was, it was only two nil, which, as they say, is always a dangerous score line. That said, based on the first half, if i'm being honest, I would have never expected that second half performance.

Must have been one hell of a team talk from Jose because in the second half we were a completely different team. Pressed better, attacked better, kept the ball better - everything was done to a much higher standard.

Once we scored that goal, our tails were obviously up, and thankfully we got a quick one straight after, with the winner coming in the 69th min.

People will talk as if we're miles away from City, but on paper, I wouldn't say we are.

I think obviously City are coached in a different way, that probably brings the best out of their players, especially the front six.

We're not Man City so we're not going to play that way, but I fully expect Jose to build a team to stop them like he did with Barca.

Brilliant comeback by us. Looked to me that when we tried to have a go and started attacking, our players were instantly in their groove and things looked much better.

They were doing all the things we want to see from our team, pressing, high line, forward runs. I think we have a good team and we can be a bit bolder in other matches too. However we need also stop ourselves from getting too carried away with attacking, and Mourinho did a good job of managing that yesterday.

I hope we crossed a threshold yesterday and we can now build on this victory to end the season on a high note.
