I know Kane hasn't done anything in this case but this is why he shouldn't have made such a big deal with the goal. You make yourself look like a baby that needs to be protected. Only himself to blame.

If he all he did was say I got a touch on it, laughed and said we'll see who it's given to in his post match interview he wouldn't be a laughing stock.

I just hope he gets himself fit for the summer. Don't want him to have a Rooney type tournamemt

Sorry you’re all jumping on Kane here?! He’s said nothing, the club didn’t even comment ffs!

You talk about agenda against United... you’re just as bad - Kane can’t win
You definitely don't understand the "flavour of the season" thing.

fecking hell do we really live in a world where you can't make a completely innocent and playful joke about a football player anymore? I hope Frankie Boyle hijacks the FA twitter account and has some fun

He can't win whilst he's at Tottenham at least. ;)

It's not even the FA's Twitter account, it's for the cup.
Just hope the person didnt lose his/her job.

Different times I guess and the immediacy of social media tends to generate storms in teacups imo.

This all seems relatively innocuous compared to the way the press fed the public's thirst for blood after Beckham was sent off against Argentina and all the crap he took for the whole of the following season. Don't remember the FA doing anything more than peel an onion.

Non of this will ever happen if your precious Prince Kane hadn't swear on his daughter life for his non-existent goal. He literally brought this all circus by himself.
So because he made an ill-judged comment like that, unfounded guff such as the stuff being peddled on here about how precious he clearly is, how he's demanded that the tweet be removed, how he doesn't care at all about the team and is a self-absorbed ego maniac etc. should be taken as fact and opposition fans can somehow claim that they're not acting like a total prat in spouting this nonsense?

I don't even know what to write. Spurs and United weren't impressed? True, what an awful thing to say. If his ego is hurt by that then he needs a fecking rattle. That joke is made over and over again on twitter by people. Are the FA going to trawl through every single bloody tweet by every footballer where they've made similar jokes? I'm pretty sure that the Man Utd twitter account liked the photo aswell. Absolutely embarrassing from whoever decided that it needed to be taken down.

Genuinely, do you think there would be outrage if the tweet was for example about Lukaku?

I don't know what's more pathetic. Harry Kane for being a total waster in the last few weeks or the media jerking him off while he's sobbing into his cornflakes.

Want to know what bullying is? Try digging up all the shit written in the past about Beckham and Rooney.

While this debacle (the FA Cup twitter account incident) is quite funny to watch, I'm not sure where Kane's fault in all this lies and why people give him shit over it.

He hasn't acted or reacted on this. It's mainly reporters and random dudes on the internet talking about bullying and making it a big deal. Kane has kept schtum. How have people figured out that his ego got hurt or whatever?

I understand people giving him shit over the goal he claimed, but that was another incident altogether.

Look, the tweet was a bit silly and provocative. But it's just a darn tweet from an FA cup account that posts random nonsense anyway. For this to become an 'issue' that requires an apology and backtracking points to a serious over sensitivity.

And Kane comes out of this looking like a baby. He hasn't commented on it but there's no way this would have become an issue had be seen it as a non issue. And he's only just publically embarrassed himself with the whole phantom goal saga.

Anyone can be memes these days, it's not helping when you're well known for something infamous. For example : Swearing on your daughter's life that you scored a goal when the replay video, which everyone can watch and has access to clearly shows You didn't even touch the ball.

Firstly, Kane shouldn't have sworn on his daughter's life. It only adds to fire He caused (being a primadonna and claimed his own teammates' goal). He's being dramatic, making him a perfect target for mockery and memes.

Secondly, the FA is being an idiot for thinking They can stop the 'online bullying' Kane has been 'receiving' by apologizing to Tottenham and ManUnited (wtf?). It won't, now the keyboard warriors have two things They can mock, Kane and the FA. They need to shut up and let the memes die in time. Is a bit of banter not allowed anymore? it's always been there, football memes have always been there. Is the FA full of people who live in a cave or something?

In all seriousness, he’s clearly playing with an injury. Looks half the player he was a couple months ago.

I’m not sure if it’s him saying he is fine to play, or the manager pushing him. I’d be more inclined to think the former due to his desire to win another golden boot.

What he needs to do now is get himself fit for the World Cup, and try to make a big statement during it.

Are you kidding me? You'd find such material on the caf before any twitter account or media outlet
Yeah and that’s where it should be. The issue is not what was said but where it’s come from. Why can’t people see that’s a bit of an odd thing for an official account to do?

Kane himself says he's fit.
I think he's just going through a rough patch and will be back in form.

Are we worried that Kane representatives may be contacting the mods for the thread title? Have we prepared an apology?

It's the media that has made it an issue not Kane.
If you actually think the certain selection of journalists who have disproportionately argued the injustice of it all on his behalf have done so without being leant on by either the player or his representatives you’re very naive.

Yup, he can score two hat-tricks in the last games and will be compared to Ronaldo again. English media are desperate to have a global star. That the games are almost meaningless won't stop them from glorifying him.

Kane is a wonderful PL striker but he is very far from Ronaldo in ability/class.

Ok I take it you must have been close to the people involved and not just making presumptions then.
